I'm telling you, yes, that I will single-handedly change the world. Well, not totally on my own. John Lennon will be standing right beside me. As soon as I get out of high school I will change the world. I am dissatisfied with the world today, how people are so materialistic, how nobody cares about peace, fellowship and good old rock 'n roll. I keel over in pain that I will never get to see Woodstock, so I'll build up the tattered remains of the psychedelic era, put together the pieces. First, I'll form a band. We'll play music that will blast off full-speed, taking a generation with it, much as the Beatles did. Our album will color the summer like Seargent Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band colored the smmer of love back in '67. Once we have fame, we will use it to get our message accross. Or music will speak out against war, reminisce back to the sixties, encourage people to start a revolution, and take time to honor fallen rock stars such as John Lennon, Freddie Mercury and John Bonham. If we can inspire people, if only just a handful, it will spread. It will be a "trend" worth following, one that is love, peace, fellowship, unity, nature and breaking away from mainstream culture. After I change the hearts of the people and the children of the flowers have found themselves again, we will march back to Woodstock. Yes, we shall march to the town of Bethel, singing "Imagine" hand in hand, and we will flood the field like water into a sinking ship. Nothing will stop us. Seated peacefully on the grass, barefoot with flowers in our hair, we will gather for two sole purposes: to share a dream and have the time of our lives. The world will stand in awe. Oh John, I hope I make you proud.
That project rocks!!! I think it's very ambitious, but if there's enought people that follow it might work. Peace Hope you save the world
I hope so too! I'm overconfident and that could hurt me in the long run. But, I'll give it a try. The only reason I can think of to explain why I wasn't born in the sixties is maybe to save the fallen world after the revolution of the flower generation, after we have sunk to the pit we are in now.
Thank you That's good to know! If I didn't have any support from the people then I could never get anywhere
i'm quite frankly think the optimism is cute, but they're not gonna just give back the world and this posts... i don't even know why i read anymore throw a rock or shut up peace isn't gonna create revolution
it SOUNDS like a great idea, but no one plays any good music this day in age. it would rock but how long will it take to get enough bands together that play good music to create a new woodstock. it pains me that ill never experience it too, but we were just born in the wrong decade. unless you believe in rencarnation if so we may have been there and just still cant get over how much fun it was
I've written 13 songs. At this rate, I can write many more before I join a band. Music has a lot of power.
I definately support your idea! its great, i wish so badly that i could have been there for woodstock and hate how things are these days. take me back to the good years man.
Yeah, gets frustrating at times. The establishment was the same way in the 60s. I've visited conservative forums that seem more liberal and open-minded than this one. There's always a hundred reasons to not try something, and most people know all hundred. Don't let that stop you. .
