alright I really wasn't sure where to put this but I am hoping this is the best place because I don't know if this is an after pregnancy thing. As you all (or most) know I had my baby in August. I did all that bleeding and stuff. Then when I started my next period they started me on Seasonal Birth Control (the 3 month packs) well I know they said I could have 'breakthrough bleeding' well I just finished my second month and I started bleeding saturday and right now I am having cramps so bad they are almost worse than my contractions from when I was in labor. It happens everytime I move. If I am still I'm ok. Now I also had coldknife conification of my cervix 6 weeks after I delivered to remove precancer cells. So is this whole cramping thing normal or should I call my doctor????????
I am no mama, and I don't bleed'n'cramp but this just don't sound like any kind of good. I would be hauling myself to a doctor ASAP
I gotta agree here mama, if my cramps were that bad, especially if I had just started that sort of birth control, I would go straight to my doctor. I don't know who your doc is, but I would think that the seasonal birth control (setting aside my serious objections with it on a personal level) would be really really bad for a mama who just gave birth. I'm not a medical professional by any means, but my gut says see a doctor ASAP. good luck sistah, I'm sure it'll all turn out just fine, sending good light your way :0)
yea... see I'm especially paranoid about bleeding since I almost bled to death after my surgery b/c a nurse told me bleeding was ok. I called doc and he is gonna see me at 1130.
I definatly will. Right now its just a hurry up and wait situation. I am hoping it is just me being paranoid or what not. Thanks for the support you guys!
so I'm back from the drs. he checked to make sure my cervix wasn't bleeding and said it wasn't so that is a big relief. He said it was normal because my body is trying to have a period since it hasn't for 2 months. I feel better now. I'm glad it was just me freaking but I mean c'mon- I almost bled to death... so any bleeding not expected scares me shitless. Better to be safe than sorry
you know, my first period after giving birth to kai was HORRIFIC! and my sister in law had some precancerous cells removed from her and her next coupe of period were wretched as well. perhaps the combination of the two makes for a complete nightmare. sounds to me as if it did. but for some reason, knowing what's going on DOES make things a little easier to bear, doesn't it? i'm glad you're okay.
If you were breastfeeding as God intended, your periods wouldn't happen until your body had sorted itself out down there. j/k Glad it's nothing serious
I'm so glad everything is ok! Are you going to stay on the seasonal stuff? Honestly, I have huge problems with it, your body has periods for a reason, it was designed and works the way it does, and is pretty perfect as is. Obviously birth control is a great thing, but the kind that stops your body from shedding it's uteran lining is just not healthy, in my opinion. (excuse the rant, lol, I just really hate that stuff) Anyway, I'm really realy glad you're ok! Blessings to you mama :0)
A lot of doctors are quacks. They put people on birth control and everyone's body is different some people just bleed as long as that hormone is going into there body's other's gain massive amount of weight. It's just messing with your natural body functions. If you want to look up a lot of natural way to not have baby's I recommend reading this book "Taking charge of your fertility" by Toni Weschler it will teach you how to know when your fertile and you will have more knowledge of what's going on with you reproductive system. god did not intend on you to take pharmaceuticals go natural
you know, i got my period like clockwork beginning a month after i had kai even though i was breastfeeding. i was thoroughly pissed. i'd been ROBBED! my mom promised me i wouldn't bleed again for a long time.
RE: They put people on birth control and everyone's body is different some people just bleed as long as that hormone is going into there body's other's gain massive amount of weight. That's not the BC - it's the cake. RE: you know, i got my period like clockwork beginning a month after i had kai even though i was breastfeeding You've got to be contrary in every single way don't you.
Irongoth... me and you are gonna scrap over this breastfeeding issue j/k I did breastfeed the first week and everytime I was I could feel my uterus contracting and I thought that was weird. But anyhow- I am going to stay on this birth control for now unless something else goes wrong because until now I had no problems with it. The huge contraction cramps have stopped (what I wouldn't have given for some demerol last night) so I think I'm ok now.. thanks you all
