mailing mj

i need to mail a family member a quarter of some beasters. i think it best to use usps for mailing it, and he says ups. i know usps legally cannot open your package, but for some reason he thinks they would have dogs smelling it. anyone have opinions?

Ya you won't get caught. My uncle sends my Dad BC weed from..... well obviously BC a couple times a year lol.

I didn't even know that he had kids, turns out I have 6 other cousins and another uncle that live in BC.....

 

Yes but you are forgetting that you live in canada and he lives in the US. As long as you dont make it obvious that its pot in there you should be okay.

 

probally best to put it in a dvd case (put the weed in atleast 3 baggis) rap in rapping paper that says 'happy b-day!' or summit then put that in a large envelope and post it. it will probbally get through as long as your not sending it over international borders (not sure about state borders) were there more likly to have dogs. good luck.

 

yeah. it's pretty safe. make it a discreet, legit looking package and put it for some sort of express that comes with a tracking number. then you're pretty safe. be sure to put your real return address, and his real name in case he has to go to the post office to get it. but regular usps should be fine.

 

I mailed some to South Carolina from Georgia in a DVD case by way of the USPS. It worked just fine.

 

yeah thats pretty much what i thought... hiding it w/o smell wont be an issue for me, i was just wondering about the dogs thing, cause several people were like "no they have dogs sniffing that shit". thanks for the input.

 

they sure do have dogs sniffing
but with millions of packages only a small percentage get checked
do not assume its 100% safe it isnt..its a risk..a small one maybe but still theres a chance u can get caught

 

I just asked my dad if I could mail some weed to my cousin but he said because my mom works for Canada Post (the big mail place in Canada) That they'll check anything that my mom brings in because she can just put the mail right in the place were it needs to be withou it getting checked.

But anyways she said that they find lots of weed in the mail. They don't act on it usually because they have no idea if the return address is even the correct one of the actual person that sent it.

 

Yeah even if things are siezed you normally won't get in any trouble. I've had alot worse things then weed siezed in the mail and all they do is mail you a "love letter"

 

Same here. I've had xanax and valium siezed coming in from another country, and all they did was send me a letter, so I had the pills reshipped, the shipment was siezed again at the same port, and customs just sent me another letter.

Whenever I sent weed in the mail, I used a different return address, so if they found it, they wouldn't know it came from me. Also, they can't really do anything to the person it's being sent to, because they can't prove that they knew anything about it......or so I'm guessing.

 

very interesting... which brings me back to my original post, which would be safer, usps, or ups. i have friends who work for ups and they said that they dont have any dogs checking things, also if something comes out of the package on the like they put it back in tape it up no questions asked, thats the policy. but then usps legally cant open your package if that is true. right now im leaning towards usps, simply because its in walking distance from where i live, and the woman there is used to me mailing the same size box all the time. im planning on packing it smell proof, inside a empty vhs casette.

 

I still say go with USPS.

 

Put it inside a can of coffee or coffee grounds. In a smell proof baggie. Sealed and wrapped.

Failproof? No. But better then other methods.

 

another thought, wrap it in your" stink-free baggie "wrap that in carbon paper, stick between 2pc. carboard seal it up. in bold letters write DO NOT BEND PHOTO on both sides. it has yet to fail me...

 

If you're really worried about smell, roll your baggy up, smear vasoline all over it, then put it in another bag.
