Would a small/large amount of LSD have any effects on ongoing anxiety/depression? In the short term? In the long term? After one time? After several times? After many times?
^^ I second what hawaiiankine says, isn't really always guaranteed, but personally it's helped me. Depends on what the anxiety and depression is about and your ability to let go and allowing LSD do the work. Personally in my experience, when I try controlling the "spiritual" direction of my trip I don't really get results, but when I go into the trip expecting nothing out of it it usually sure gives me a hell lot more...
i wouldnt recommend lsd as an anit-deppressant, not that its not effective somtimes, just that its not effective all the time. when i was 14-15 i was eating a bit of acid and dealing with some fairly heavy deppression. i cant say the combination was very good. as kine so eloquently put it....individual results may vary. depends on who you are, how your tripping, why your deppressed, how you interpret your expireinces, ect.
Exactly. Try Zoloft instead. archemetis, you just reminded me...I took acid waaay back going through a divorce...I got so weepy and crying and emotionally wiped out. On one hand it was cleansing in a way, but did not relieve my depression at all.
Thanks for the input. What about super small doses? Sub hallucinogenic doses? If it has the potential to cure cluster headaches/migraines in the long term, I wonder if hallucinogenic doses really are needed. I guess I'm thinking more biochemically than experience-wise. I know an overwhelming experience in any situation can cause anxiety. Zoloft and SSRIs never worked, ever. I've been on various SSRIs for over 10 years. The only thing that has helped has been medical marijuana and that seems to cause anxiety for me now.
in my opinon its a no...Iam not an expert though so dont go by what i say fully...The other dudes know better lol
well anxiety is merely a psychological thing. taking lsd can help u take control of your mind and thus help with anxiety. as for depression, well lsd can show u amazing light and apreciation for the world thus alleviating depression. however in both instances it can go the other way. i also did a lot of microdoses of acid. which is small amounts of acid which u can feel but u wont trip out. i can say that microdosing is amazing. u feel sooo good and things are soo beautiful and ur still u. ur still in reality. just a really happy bright one. that may fix ur cluster headaches. i guess half a tab or less. im not sure caues i had a vial and mixed a bit of water in and swished it, made heaps of microdoses. the last time i did acid was 4 months ago, and while it was good, i was left very up and down. my mood was up and down chronic and i was depresssed. ( i dont however suffer from bipolar). so i have actually been taking lexapro for the last 4 months. u may not want to do a big trip since u suffer alot of depression or u may fall into a worse void. a scary horrific, deep, dark void inside ur mind, dissociated from the outside world. to the point u just wish u were dead. and yes some people become so scared after acid they kill themselves. if i had my time again, i would stop acid after the first few times. thats when u feel just so amazing from it, a free spirit. u keep goin and u just end up a bit wack. i just recomend 5htp. and some microdosing, and maybe 1 tab, once or twice ever.
^^ Dude...what??? "i just recomend 5htp. and some microdosing, and maybe 1 tab, once or twice ever." Not very good advice there bud...haha what would Leary or Hoffman say to that?? If you're the type of person that runs from problems, and from deep questions about life and reality then acid is not for you. However if you're interested in exploring your own mind and possibly understanding the universe a bit better then take the plunge. Learn. Expand. You go "wack" from running from your fears and putting up mental walls...again it's not the drug it's the user. Xanonimity...dude your posts on anxiety are killin me lol. LSD is extremely likely to cause anxiety for you based on your other reports with substances. The only substances with 0 anxiety are things like opiates, clonazepam, phenazepam, etc. Please stop trying to find a psychedelic that does not EVER cause anxiety, because it just doesn't exist. 5-meo-dalt is your only option and I'm not sure it even really does anything at all. The potential positive from psychs for you may be you understanding anxiety is just needless worrying and you can simply stop worrying...maybe mellow out a bit, but honestly I just see you havin some kinda crazy psychotic episode, and going to the hospital...again, and giving these substances a worse rep than they already have.
acid was thouroughly tested by the government, FBI all that stuff. it was found to have no real benefits for anything. the only thing lsd did was make the users of the drug less cooperative in society. so it was illegalised.there are tonns of other options too choose from before choosing a psychedelic drug like acid. how about exercising, running every morning early. 7am. stuff like that. lsd can help u make a big change in your life. or u can make that same change without lsd. is just not as obvious and harder to do.anyway most anxiety goes away after a while. try going out more drinking. yeah thats what most people do, they drink. nothing wrong with drinking to curb a few anxities when u go out. train yourself consciously to not bas as anxious and more social. thats ecactly what lsd will do for you, help u to more consciously make changes.
Sorry. I guess I'm wrong. I have never ever had help from conventional means (exercise/diet/pharmaceuticals) and the only thing that ever helped me was medical marijuana, until recently, so I was going off of the unconventional approach. I probably won't do any more RCs or anything for that matter since it could make it worse, maybe one of these anti-depressants might work, one day.
Well hey man, if you decide to dose take 2 blotter hits. No more. No less. Maybe it will help, just make sure you have a trip sitter around, and are in the most relaxed, comfortable, open spot possible.
if u havent already 5htp is a natural serotonin booster. it makes u happy with little to no side effects, and just cause its natural doesnt mean its weak. the first time i took it i was knocked out for a few hours but after a few days it builds up and u just feel incredible and confident n stuff. never give up hope.
u could always start on a real low dose. iv been on half a lexapro for about 4-5 months. before that was 6 months of 5htp. it made me real happy and confident. the lexapro makes me feel less, talk less, live less. im not depressed. its ok, half a dose isnt near as bad as taking a full 10mg. but im thinking about taking 5htp again and stopping lexapro. iv started becoming extra arogant and awfull on antidepressants.
i mean i have tried LSD once and i think it worked amazing for anti-anxiety or depression, for a solid 3 or 4 weeks after i had used it i was in a great mood and worry free. it was amazing... kinda led to me not doing my work but it was a great break from the regular
every considered the possibility that your depressed because your taking anti-deppresants? when i was 14-15 i was on a few, and i found that in the begginging i felt okay, only to slide into a numb depression, with no ups and downs. at some point i realized it was the meds. deppressed people take anti-deppresants....its not a cure. everybody feels sad, its part of life, it drives us to do things that deepen our feelings of love. its alright man.
i also did a lot of microdoses of acid. which is small amounts of acid which u can feel but u wont trip out. i can say that microdosing is amazing. I agree strongly with that sentiment.
The above statement is my definition of wasted potential. Know many will disagree, but that's my opinion on microdosing.
