no, this isnt spam, im acutally looking for artists, and im willing to pay. I'm about to start up my own printing business, and i'm looking for artists to design art suitable for t shirts, aprons, tote bags, undies etc etc... now not all great art is suitable for printing, you'll probably find more people wearing 'i like boobies' t shirts than t shirts with monet on them, as far as the art is concerened, im looking for edgy depictions of comic/anime characters, counter culture icons ect ect, designs similar to these: Link Link Link Link now they don't have to be nearly as high gloss as those, and of course im looking for artistic expression so don't just limit yourself to those complex kind of pics...a heart with the word sexy in front of it would go great on undies and would be relatively simple to make i imagine i will accept almost all designs submitted what i offer you is this: you keep full rights to your artwork, im not looking to buy all rights to your pics, you can resell them to anyone else, use the same pics you send me on other things, anytime you want your artwork removed i will remove it immediately (though i will fill out any orders i have of that artwork, i won't accept anymore orders for it unless you decide you want that particular pic back up) all i ask is the right to distribute your artwork on apparel. if you would like to see your artwork on t shirts and tote bags but would be offended to see it on a thong, i could accomodate that aswell. you get 5% of the purchase price on my site for all apparel that contains your artwork, thats not 5% of what i make after costs but 5% of the initial purchase price, otherwise you'd get a lot less money i will also make you your own site on a free server with all of your art work and paypal buttons linking to the various products for sale with only YOUR art work on it, any sale made on your website will generate you 10% of the purchase price; that way you can promote your site and make money off only your designs instead of promoting everyone elses designs as well. i may also get requests from people asking to design certain artwork they want on apparel and i'd be willing to pay a lump sum for a specific artist to design it, as well as your 5% commision on top of that so is anyone interested? im obviously not up and running yet but if this sounds like something that would interest you, you think its stupid, or you'd like any questions answered that i didnt address leave a post in this thread and i'll get back to ya
Oh I thought you were being an art snob, looking down on "I like boobies" shirts. I checked the links and those actually look pretty neat. I'm not an artist though. Oh you know what would be cool though is if you could incorporate the concept of boobies into your art. I mean not like a literal drawing of boobs, God I wouldn't want that on my SHIRT! But uh, like one of those cartoon characters with nice boobs, next to something rigid and imposing to make it manly. Yeah, that would rock.

awesome, excellent work i'll deffinatly keep that in mind once i get it up and running...hmmm, makes me wonder if we should do a hipforums co-op internet market, make it like a commune for hippy businessesl; we can pitch in and pay for bandwidth and the site name, decide as a group about upgrades, layouts, share the cost of the overhead, have seperate subsections in the site for each 'stall' in the web market and link to eachother, sharing customers that way... hmmm, *puts on his thinking cap*
I'm sure the hipforum operators have a lot on their plate. This forums does get some good traffic. I need to hit some festivals. I make this killer wire wrap hemp leaf that I've never seen anyone else do. I did a regular craft show and told some people they where palm trees... depending if I thought it would offend them. I stay busy everyday so I shouldn't complain. Matthew
i've done tshirt designs before. i could not promise regular images as currently my computer is screwed but im experianced with adobe illustator and do illustration drawings off off computers. are you asking for the images to be ready to print (eg in vector format) or as drawn designs and you vectorise them?
hipkatmeow, hah, no, i don't have rights to that one unfortunaltey, though i wish i had access to that artist! he's selling the rights to that design for well over 1000 US a lil out of my price range fleassy, im glad you responded to this i was actually gonna pm you to see if you'd be interested, i love you work! as far as image format goes, so long as i can open it i can run a print of it. vector images would be great for a lot of applications (so long as i can find a program to open it with without rasterizing it) but since im not doing silk screening i don't have the 4-6 colour limitations associated with it, so vector images arent needed. if its in vector format, great, if not....thats great too at anyrate, if you still have the rights to the past t shirt designs you did i'd love to see them
