Looking For Friendship in Metro Detroit Michigan Area!

Hi I came here to try and find some female friends in my area, I live in the suburbs, north of Detroit, I find it impossible to just find some female friends, because if I tell them I'm a lesbian, then they don't want to talk to me anymore. So I haven't tried anymore where I live, so I've been trying in Facebook groups, but they just want a hook up, but I'm 56 and I am just too old to be fooling around.

What I want is some good friends or just one good friend and maybe eventually we can become something more, meaning long term companionship, not just fooling around. For me sex isn't even important, I just want some companionship, someone to set and watch a tv show or movie with or talk about different things with.

I have a variety of interests, I am a liberal, I'm not religious, but I'm not an atheist either, but I don't follow any kind of idea of a higher being, Not sure what someone would call me exactly.

I thought this might be a good place for people to talk who are from the same area too, and hopefully talk to me too.
