hey I planted my 10 seeds a week ago, the stems are really long and skinny and flimsy, so i think i maybe have had them too far from the light, so today i bumped them up closer so they dont have to reach so far, are they gonna make it? should i support them until then get stronger? i have a fan on them so they can get a more resistant and stronger. Anything else I can do? anything would be a huge help. If you need Ill post pics.

Being far away from the light will make them long and skinny. What light are you using?

Support them, move them closer to the light (1-2" for a flo). Don't have too much wind on them it causes them to transpire quickly - wait till they get larger - till then a light indirect breeze will do.

It will work - everyone has those "runners" it is an example of how light (the lack of, more correctly) effects the plant. Just be careful and don't overwater and hold off the full tilt nutes till they can handle it.

    Good Luck!

your plants are stretching like said before. I would get more lights buy the spiral compact flc bulbs. Get warm light and cool light to get a good spectrum. I hope that helps, I do not know what your setup looks like

I can tell you how to fix your plants. put them in a taller container and bury the stem with soil close up to the first set of leaves.

Be careful when you do that to seedlings though. When a bit older the stem will be more "woody", less prone to damping off and will throw the adventitious roots quicker. :)
