London Burns - Riots all around England

Hmmm, things are NOT going well in the EU and the US at the moment

Any impact of welfare, migration is miniscule to the effects of trade, infrastructure, services and big business.

All the stuff coming out of america about the government not doing its job when 2/3 of its gynormous debt is public owned. And the EU is simply fucked. Whilst China records another 10+% growth, russia and india are on the up.

This is about a shift in the world economy and the top end in your country not doing their job properly.

Japans doing relatively well considering what happened to them recently.

The system is just not working like it should in the US and EU at the moment

 

It pisses me off the way this is being reported. The rioters have performed some terrible acts, but they need to provide some perspective on why this is happening. The last news segment I saw showed a malicious 5 second clip of a hodded guy wearing a handkerchief which was cut off, followed by a 2 minute speech from David Cameron. There is a whole range of people dissatisfied with police and the government, not just violent louts.

 

well as we all know now, Mark Duggan was a black man and was shot and killed by the police.... this is not what sparked the riot... what sparked the riot seems to have been the battering of a 16 year old girl by police truncheons or shields (can't remember which now)... she was amongst the peaceful demonstrators... i don't know if she is black or white, but i suspect black... there is no doubt that racism AND sexism are still rife within the police force... but the force's attitude to dispossessed youths/adults (of all races) of today, equals their apparent disdain for people of a different skin colour...

 

They are reporting that Debenhams in Clapham is currently being looted by masked youths. It's still going on...

News of the first fatality is coming through. The guy who was found shot has just died in hospital.

the country is in need of financial stability, it has been the governments sole intention - these sort of procedures would only hamper such progress.

i speak to some of those idiots and they are better educated than you could imagine IB... it is precisely bcos of those reasons!

EDIT: i just felt it important to note that i do not mean to infer that ALL the "idiots" are of a high intelligence (brightwise)... just that it isn't cut and dried Doh!!!City.com... and some youngsters were even trying to say it in their naive teenager way... then there's the ones you speak of... just mindless violence/robbery and all those inbetween... but even they are products of this society, and they have "beef" with it, even though they may not even know it for themselves... not condoning ANY of their behaviour, it's just, i can see how it could all have been avoided... so can many others... there are loads of kids out there who do have a brain that works quite well, and know what's going on... ie., how and why they are oppressed etc...
