kinda sad....... he had nothing.... but i guess he has a warm room to sleep in , at least....... he cant see properly, and he walks the streets, instead of on the sidewalks, because the sidewalks are too dangerous, he may trip and fall..... anyways, he was arrested because many motorists downtown were complaining that he was in the street, and they couldnt go around him...... so, for his own safety, and others safety, the police had to take him in...... the guy has some mental conditions too.
Yeah, that sucks that he was arrested...but you are right: at least he has a warm place to sleep tonight.
if I was homeless and it was winter, Id do anything to get arrested so Id get a bed to sleep in and some meals to eat.....
Many people who are really homeless for long periods of time are afflicted by mental conditions. I like it when people scream 'get a job' out the window or something. Like Macy's is looking for people who think they're being chased by rats or something.
it's been my experience that to complain about three hots and a cot when you don't have one is stupid. but it'll only be temporary. it's like when they pick up a nuisance bear, tag it, then throw in into a different area where it won't bother rich people.
I work in a psychiatric facility, and many of the patients were found on the street, most of them dying. I feel so sad for them after getting to know them as human beings. Most have dimensia, alzeimers, or schizophrenia, and the fact that some of them drink just covers up the underlying mental condition and makes it easy for people to walk by them without a second thought. (although I'm sure the drink was a contributer to their mental disintegration in various degrees) One poor guy was just dropped off at the hospital by his family, and we have no contact information or anything. He is so sweet and innocent it boils my blood that his own family would do this to him.
