BUTLER, Pa. April 16, 2009--\Authorities said Scott Tucker, 22, of Butler, climbed the 130-foot utility tower with his roommate, Leonard Teuteberg. When he reached the top, Tucker touched a power line and was shocked with 25,000 volts of electricity. He fell from the shock and dropped onto a support beam.It took emergency crews four hours to rescue the men and bring them to safety. Live power lines on the tower made rescue efforts difficult.Robin Plunkard, Tucker’s mother, said her son doesn’t typically get into trouble. She can’t understand why he would have done such a thing.“It’s racking my brain,” Plunkard said. “He’s not that kind of person.”Tucker remains in serious condition at Mercy Hospital in intensive care.Teuteberg, also of Butler, was treated for his injuries at the scene. He was not hospitalized. In order to access the tower, Tucker and Teuteberg had to ignore warning signs and razor wire around the fence enclosing the structure.Rescue crews believe alcohol may have been involved in the incident.Police said both men are facing charges for trespassing.

I'm glad he's not dead. I bet he will learn a lot from this experience.

Most power lines are not protected to prevent climbing..

Cause most people 3 years old and up know better.. :)

I have the lucky, or unlucky depending on who you talk to, to call this du:love:mbass a friend. He's lucky to be alive. He learned from it yeah but He proudly sports his nickname Power Tower Tucker. Worst part of it is if he would have died he wouldn't have seen his lil boy grow up or have his beautiful lil girl. His son was born a month after he did this He's so proud of his babies and cuz of his stupidity he almost lost the chance to see Caleb grow up and beautiful lil Caileigh wuodnt even exist.

I was changing irragiation pipes last week. This one was on wheels and has a small engine since the total length of pipe is several hundred feet long. Well when you turn it off you push a switch against a small spark plug. I was not paying attention and touched the spark plug. Fuck man it zapped me good. It didn't hurt that bad really, but it totally locked my muscles in my shoulders, arms, and neck. My eyes closed hard and for a split second and it felt as their was no way possible to open them.

It happened very fast and afterword i had to wait a couple mins to dust it off. I felt a small after shock feeling just two or three seconds after the first zap. I won't make that mistake again!

I touched a bad sparkplug wire once ..the electricity travelled up my arm..down my side ...and through my dick where it jumped through my pants and into the fender

I always make sure now that im touching the car with both hands...id rather have it travel across my heart than my dick
