Planted 5 little pumpkins in the balcony. It's amazing watching them grow. They are real fast. But I'm not talking about those usual pumpkins. It's name can change from country to country but they are sold here as "decorative pumpkins". (sorry forgot the Latin name) Their color and shape varies. I think these will produce 3 different varieties. And the plant is like an ivy with great flowers. Find Them and plant them. You'll see what I mean. And they are good for camufulage too:)))

Yes they are gourds not pumpkins, I checked the dictionary::), but as you say they are "little gourds" (fruit is about 5-10cm high) I wonder how long they grow?
By the way crows around this place are really interested in them. I think I'll have to share the fruits with them. But they do my gardening in a way. They dig the flowerpots to bury their food. Yesterday I removed 2 walnuts and a piece of bread from the pot but I will not do that again. This morning some of the buds in other pots were broken. It may be a protest? So I won't touch their loot again.

Ya know I forgot exactly how long it takes them to grow. My memory is fading. Well I guess birds have to have food too. Lol could put up a scare crow [IMG]
