Just did a google search and it says linkin park is coming out with a new album june 26th

Linkin parks new album has been advertised like crazy through the NBA playoffs.

Slipknot is not dead either. They have been on a break ever since their bassist died.

 

I bet their new album won't sound much different.

I just don't understand how a real, serious musician can be a fan of these guys. They're like the rock band equivalent of a mainstream rapper.

I mean, I used to like some of their songs when I was in elementary/middle school, but come on. I was naive.

 

i wasn't aware they were still able to get people to listen to their god-awful songs. why is a 'rap-metal' band around in 2012 anyway? didn't that junk go out in the early aughties?

metal is awful nowadayz, infact most the new music that's been coming out for the last almot 10 years has sucked ballz. cant wait till the next incarnation of nirvana to come out and kick all that stupid screamo metal crap to the curb

 

This thread is not about metal in the first place but anyway screamo/nu metal is only a small part of metal today and so doesn't say much about the state of metal as a whole.
