Has anybody read this book by Yann Martel? I can only recommend it, it's weird, funny and brilliant! It made me laugh so much, but is at the same time sad and thought provoking. Read it!
i just got it as a birthday gift..... have never heard of it before, but can't wait to start reading it! it seems very........... unique!
i liked it very much!! fantastic and realistic unique and interesting the thing with the teeth kinda freaked me out a bit tho. Richard Parker is my favourite character
Awesome Read!!! So what do you guys think about the so called 'alternative' explanation to the authorities? I LOVED LOVED LOVED this book!
I've walked by this book many times at my local bookstore and thought about picking it up. I'm going to for sure now!
An amazing book, very well written and just made me smile....Just read self by him too which is a brilliant read as well....If you liked Life of Pi then read Self ....A very nostalgic kinda read until about halfwway through when everything changes
i loooooved this book! i was actually going to suggest Self as well! i really like yann martel, he's form montreal :H he was going to be at a book festival a while ago.. i wanted to go, but i missed it. boo
It was enjoyable enough, but all the way through it I couldn't help thinking "ack, this symbolism is tiring already..." I would have enjoyed it more had I not found it a little predictable. Good concept though.
I have been wanting to read "Life of Pi" for a while now. It's on my "list"... I was going to buy it a couple of months ago (to have it on-hand), but I decided to wait... Can't wait to start it, though!
