I thought I'd post the lyrics, perhaps it may help some take away meaning from it... I'll have to sit on it for a bit.

Didn't it start out as a breakup song? And then sort of evolved from there.

Far Out! I thot I only had permissions in the Movie forum. Didn't know I could move a thread to another forum.

As for the song, it was originally about Morrison breaking up with his GF but sort of rambles like a stoner train of thot.

The psycho murder references were kind of worrisome a couple years later after the Manson murders, especially while stoned and paranoid. Pink Floyd's "careful with that ax Eugene" was the same.

Now, I never come to the music forum, what am I doing here?

Oh, going back to the Movie forum. Outta here! ;)

    I've always thought this part...

...was a verbal "treasure map" of sorts, of a place he had been to out in the mountains in California. The "Kings highway" = El Camino Real, Goldmine, got tons of those, etc... Never did find the place though.

Yeah I always thought that when you died you had to follow what he says here to make it to the Pure land or where ever this part lead you
