The time has come for this particular gap-year kid and her best-friend to take the leap across the pond. Our adventure is starting off in London, probably going to do some couch surfing until we find a particular hostel we've cozied up to. Any advice would be wonderful and appreciated to surviving the UK on a shoe-string. An offer of a floor, couch, maybe a mattress would be even better. Thanks! Andrea ( Are there any communes in the UK? )
sounds good, well i would love to offer you refuge, but i am house-less untill september, and i am going the oppsite way, i am in the U.S. for around 12 weeks, working on a camp and then travelling. the list of exisitng communes are here http://directory.ic.org/records/?action=search_results&locations[country]=United%20Kingdom the UK is quite expensive, from my experience of where i have lived, but you can always find good chepa stuff if you look hard enough. hope you have a groovy time peacex
