Here's a report from CBS. Looks like media is giving the protests little exposure. Has Trump got them cowed?

That's a quote from Casablanca. Humphrey Bogart says that to the Gestapo after the Nazi infers the USA might be invaded next.

Quite apropos given America's Nazi Leader has been dispatching his brown shirts across the country to intimidate and terrorize the latest scapegoats so he can implement his fascist agenda.

Sixty percent of the population demands the government and corporations they call evil lie to them for their own protection, and are usually much to liberal about these things. In other words, many of the same people protesting against Donald Duck are the same ones who insist they should be censored, for their own good.

Hence, the dilemma of whether we should respect their wishes, and help to censor them, since testing their DNA is the most reliable way to determine how they vote.

By who you hate, by this are you truly known, when they never did graduate from kindergarten.

Someone should figure out how to test everyone's DNA, so the democrats know who is loyal.

Just ask them where they get their news from and you'll know how they vote.

I remember when CBS was the conservative network, NBC was middle of the road and ABC was the upstart, a bit more liberal. PBS and NPR were and still are the only networks to really delve into what is really going on. That's why Trump wants them gone.

"A Wall Street Journal–NORC poll released yesterday found that only 25% of Americans believe they have a good chance of improving their standard of living. Nearly 70% said it was no longer possible to work hard and get ahead. A majority of those polled said the generation before them had an easier time starting a business, buying a home, or staying at home to parent a child.

A different piece in the Wall Street Journal explained that there were 927 American billionaires in 2020 and 1,135 in 2024. Together, they are worth about $5.7 trillion. The 100 richest of the set control more than half of the total at about $3.86 trillion. As the number of billionaires grew, “supply side” economic policies in the U.S., designed to concentrate wealth at the top of the economy among investors rather than on the “demand side” made up of consumers, hollowed out the middle class. From 1975 to 2018, at least $50 trillion moved from the bottom 90% to the top 1%."

The nonpartisan Center on Budget and Policy Priorities notes that under the law (the Republican's latest tax cut for the obscenely rich), a family earning less than $50,000 a year would get less than $300 in tax cuts in 2027 while losing access to Medicaid and food assistance, while a filer earning more than $1 million would receive about $90,000 in tax breaks. The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office estimates that the 10% of Americans at the bottom of the economy will lose about $1,200 a year.

Some 80% of the public now routinely lies about their political views, preferring to avoid discussing anything controversial. Nonverbal Politics Are The Future!

However, the mindless mob will still make more noise than Satan himself. The rest will quietly drink themselves to death, while watching Fox News.

The new tariffs will affect the upper income people.
Eggs don't get a tariff or chicken, beef, bread, cereal.
Caviar, Truffles, Jamon Iberico, fancy cars, bring it.
How about a new Federal Tax on expensive homes? The SALT levies produced a lot of tears. I'm reading about new taxes on Taylor Swift's house in Watch Hill' RI.
Are Tariff levies really yielding 50 Bill a month?

In July 2025, wholesale prices for domestic fresh and dry vegetables skyrocketed 38.9% compared to a year ago, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

That's what happens where there's no one to pick the crops. To make up for the crops that get plowed under, they must charge more for what does make it to market. Basic economics, short supply, high demand = high prices.

Jobs cuts announced by U.S. firms climbed 39% last month.
Data released Tuesday show that U.S. manufacturing has contracted for six straight months. The U.S. has fewer manufacturing jobs today than it had before the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic in 2020. The country has lost 78,000 manufacturing jobs this year. Seventy-two percent of Texas manufacturers say the tariffs are hurting their businesses. Only 3.7% think the tariffs are helping them.
Today’s new jobs report, the first since Trump fired the previous director of the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) after accusing her of rigging the numbers for political reasons, showed that the U.S. added just 22,000 jobs in August, far below the expected 75,000, while the jobs numbers for June and July were revised downward by 21,000 jobs.
Yesterday’s immigration raid on a Hyundai Motor battery plant in Georgia is unlikely to send a reassuring message to manufacturers. U.S. agents arrested 475 individuals, more than 300 of whom were South Korean nationals. Included in the sweep were business travelers. In August, Hyundai had said it would invest $26 billion in the U.S. through 2028.

Hyundai: We would like to invest $26 billion in your country."
    America: "You're all under arrest!"
