thats thier one disco album they came out with. they went from rock to disco which was crazy at a time like that, but they pulled it off.

kiss are pretty much heavy metal i reckon. what with jean and his blood coming out of his mouth...thats fairly heavy i'd say! speaking of jean....anybody watching 'rock school' on channel 4 in the uk? jean simmons is basically doing a real remake of 'school of rock' in england...

Kiss was a good band, highly over rated in the 70's but now highly under rated.

I would call them heavy metal, the heavy metal of the 1970's.

are you sure you wouldnt call them progressive??? they did work with bob ezrin (who also produced alice cooper and pink floyd)...... they also had that concept album in the early 80s.... so they should be progressive, should they not? ;)

No, Kiss is definately not progressive rock, I never thought of Kiss as progressive. They are heavy metal with a glam rock influence.

In the 70's AC/DC had a glam influence too when they started, well at least on their album "High Voltage" (1975). I like AC/DC better than Kiss.
