I just finished watching a movie called Kinsey based on Alfred Kinsey's research and his life I guess...I thought that it was pretty interesting and I was wondering if anyone else has seen it and what they thought....The movie totally made me look at sexuality in a completely different way, now I wonder why the subject still seems so hidden and odd to a lot of people when it's most peoples favourite thing in the world...Any one else seen it?
It was pretty interesting. Kinda disjointed with no real direction, but I guess that's cause it was documenting an actual person. I think people still hide from their sexuality cause they don't want to face it, whether they don't want to realize they may be perverted, or if it interferes with their faith, or something. Social stigmas take a while to break down. And you always have to be cautious when dealing so openingly with sex too, cause you get people like that one guy Kinsey interviewed who don't have respective boundries and can take it too far (rape, pedophilia, things like that.)
yeah that guy was pretty scary. But yeah i thought it was a pretty cool film - and yeah I also liked the way that they examined all the parts of love - like the way the film/kinsey questioned the place of fidelity in marriage.
