anny one eles into liveing out of a kayak? ive benn doing trips ,mostly 3 day runs and a couple week long runs.I have a 17 foot sea kayak and it has dry storage compartments that hold my tent ,sleeping bags ,cloths,food and stove.on the deck i strap down other items like safty eqiptment,axes,a small camp stool ,dry bag with misalanius items and a dry box for my camera eqiptment and other optics. my goal right now is to go down the missippi river from dubuque iowa all the way to the gulf coast.gonna take a month and 1/2 or so.then send my boat back home and hitch home(or buss,or rent a u hall truck).would like to do this next summer (2005)if annyone is interested in joining me for this missippi river chalange let me know and we can start planning the expedition.I plan on documenting life on the missippi with still photos and vidio.it promisses to be a verry enlightning journey.if there is anny other kayakers out there with adequate skills maybe we could hook up.if not ill go solo.lovein you frog
Hey I just had a friends son do that almost very same thing 2 summers ago. I forget his start point but he went all the way down. His dad said he loved it. Smallest boat you'll ever see me in is like a 19' Seaswirl or something like it. I hope you find a group it will be a blast for all!

I love kayaking. Im joining a commune up in maine and we'll be next to pretty good size river actually, I definitely plan to spend some time out on the river, Currently I'm quite bound though so can't do to much til the summer, I love the idea though.
