...and am still waiting for the pics lol, but I'll post 'em as soon as I can! Yaaaaayyyyyyyyy it was cool and exciting... and a rather interesting mix of being bloody awful and rather good
Hehe well I've gotta say I'm posting this with a weird mixture of total pride and embarrassing shame; I'm sure you'll see why! This is on the leg of the guy teaching me. It's completely my first, e.g. no trials on fruit or anything... so yeh, the crapness is not sooo bad considering, and the good bits are pretty damn good. I think we're gonna work on making it prettier over the next few weeks, and do some shading etc. No prizes for guessing which lines were the very very first (...the droplets at the bottom). I wanted to start with those little wiggly lines on the left coz they're pretty safe, but no, I was instructed to start with the drops, doh! Kinda looks like it was done by a blind 3-year-old on a bus...gotta start somewhere I guess! Yay!
dont know if this would cheer you up but Ive seen worse, and from people who have been practising for a while, donnae worry it look ok for a first ever tattoo disregarding the no practice part
there are some really good parts, I bet you're gonna be a killer tat artist when you get the hang of it. I've seen your etsy.. you got style woman
Amy! I cant believe you saying that it's not good. I think you did such a wonderful job for your first time!!!! Awesome stuff! Must felt pretty powerful putting ink on another person's body forever. I'd let you practice on me any day!
Surely the state of it pretty much answers that question! haha It was cool, but kinda frustrating coz one minute my hand would be fine and the next there'd be shaking all over the place, but I couldn't really figure out what was determining whether a line came out wiggly or not...like, it didn't feel like I was doing anything different each time. Does that make sense?
I don't understand what you mean... this is my first tattoo that I GAVE to someone... not received... lol (Hence it being so crappy!)
kinda makes sense.. did u have the skin spread as u tattooed? did u use a disposable tube? weight of the machine could be a factor.. did the artist give u any tips as u tattooed? there could be alot of factors. what i noticed when i tattooed my leg is that u have to maintain a smooth pace, and ofcourse depth matters. dont let that first tattoo bother u. u did just fine! good luck on future ones!
That does not look bad at all! Good job. I'm sure you'll get better as you do more tattoos. Good luck!
