    Hello :)

Well I'm two washes in to just washing my dreads with water and nothing else. So far so good. Better actually.
    Which is nice.

P.S. Don't forget to wax, kiddies!

My hair feels just as clean. I feel like I can wash it properly now. I don't really like the squeaky feeling after soap is rinsed out, which meant I probably didn't touch my dreads as much as I should whilst washing them. Not using soap is obviously cheaper than using it lol.
When my hair is dry afterwards, it kinda feels more like hair (I know that only makes a limited amount of sense :p)

Haha, yeah ofc. Never thought it was expensive though.

Can I ask what kinda soap you used before and where you bought it, if it was of the internet that is ?

Im kinda having a hard time finde that kinda stuff from a European homepage (no taxes)

I was getting my Dr. Bronner's from Dreadworx.co.uk and just being careful not to go over the tax limit. Sodium bicarbonate etc from the supermarket :p

    Been doing this for years

Assuming I wash my hair at all. When I rinse it, my locks don't even absorb water anymore so it feels kind of silly

I washed my hair today using only water with a couple of drops of tea tree oil in it. It feels nice! Have to get my head around the fact that just water can clean my hair though- I'm so used to equating a foamy head of lather with clean hair *brainwashed I guess* :)
I'll keep it up and see if it makes a difference to my itchy head.

its funny, I've been doing this more often too. I washed my hair last week, and before that it was about 3 weeks, but every few showers I'd lose the showercap and just let them rinse, massage my head and rinse again.
Man does it feel way better, I use knottyboy liquid shit (I hate it, but that's all they sell in this shit brick town) and it leaves my hair kind of waxy, it's weird.
amy I agree it feels more like hair, which is very nice indeed.

I've been sp afraid to try it but I may try now :) though I have a whole bar of Dr.B's and a whole bottle of DHHQ to be used... meh ^^

And y'know new hair growth doesn't need shampoo... Once you put shampoo on it it adapts to that so thats why pepole hate washing without shampoo, because the hair is used to it... If you get what I mean? So if weeee wash with water now, our hair will get used to it, then the new hair will grow then we'll be all set!!

So shall I use my dhhq shampoose first or just start with water noow?

And 20 mins is alot 0.o I'd say I haven't the patience for it but my little dread voice shouted at me so :D I could do that xD

I tried washing with just water but I cannot stand the smell of naturally smelly hair. It isn't offensive to most but I can't stand it so the next day I washed with some dr. b and felt a whole lot better, plus I cook all the time and the hair without soap still stinks like food.

Oh, if anyone needs a hair refresher I just recently discovered Rose Water that you can spray on your hair and it smells nice, not too rose-y or flowery.
