just a little abstact

here is a painting I did just yesterday and I guess I was just wondering what everyone thought about it..........its not that good so if you don't like it go ahead and say excuse the icky photography tho.... sorry

 

I think it's beautiful! It reminds me of chaotic waves.. perhaps metaphorical for the trials and tribulations of life?

aww water.. the seea its beautiful! plus i'm bias i love water and i love the colour blues you've used ... how big is it? what did you use and its something you should continue i think... i like it..

 

55" - 32" and its acrilcs .... they are not my favorites .. they dry so quickly its hard to paint such a large picture and have them blend well....there are sparkles all over it that i don't think you can see that well in this pic

it is kind of like the turmoil(sp?) that is going on in my life right now..
not a rage kind of thing.....
just mellow....... blues that are like the lack of passion that I've been feeling and the sparkels are kinda like hope...... i sound silly

I've always been fond of water but to tell you the truth I didn't know what I was painting till it was done

I think I'm dumping this one on you all cause it is easier for me to talk about my own art without having to be face to face
my insecureties come into play .........

Nice paintings, but I wouldn't call those abstract necessarily.

 

yeah thats not really what I ment ... cause you can see that they are waves I just ment that its not like a real life type of painting.... duh I sound stupid but really its a little abstact I think

or atleast my way of looking at it is abstact

I know what you are getting at, emotionalism or formalism might be more appropriate though .

Nah, dude, abstract is basically anything that may or may not bear a similar resemblance to normal or humdrum images and ideas. I usually work in the same way; I just add onto a piece until I feel that it's finished, and look at it... I surprise myself sometimes; certain ideas surface that I wasn't even aware of previously, stuff like that.

I'll have to get some of my art up and show you what I'm talking about.
