It amazes me how quickly the media and some in society are ready to believe that Jussie Smollett was not the victim of a hate crime. It speaks of the rampant homophobia in society how turn-on-a-dime fast we're ready to let this be water under the bridge and leave Smollett another forgotten victim.

If people weren't so silent on the issues of gay rights and violence on African-Americans then we wouldn't be so ready to let this go. I have yet to see anything proving that Smollett has lied to police and America regarding the events that took place that night. It would be a real shame to let this go unnoticed.
