thats a rather unfeeling way to look at it man.

I mean just cos you had enough of em, doesnt mean that a good way to be rid of them is for the last one to die :(

You title your thread with "dead....FINALLY!", which is bad enough, but then I realize that you have a tribute to Chuck Schuldiner. Okay, so I see how the chain works for you:

High priority:Singer/guitarist of a death metal band that most people have never heard of, and rightfully so.

Low priority:A father of N.Y. punk and the entire American punk scene.

...Wow. What can I even say to that? Have your opinions and express them, but you've got to expect me to rip on you when you're this heartless. I think Death sucks, and I thought they sucked in 2000 when Chuck went, but I certainly didn't post "Chuck Schuldiner dead....FINALLY!". You're a fucked up dude, very, very fucked up.

You couldn't have said it any better? That's a shocker! Beyond good and bad, you must admit that The Ramones had a much bigger impact on the music world and an impact on more lives than did Death, or any other death metal band for that matter. You'll get over the metal thing, and you'll deny it up and down until it happens. Either way, like I said, you're a sick kid and you should seek therapy. Maybe you're not so much sick as your are just some middle class suburbanite punk with nothing better to do than make irresponsible remarks about another human being's death. Either way, I really hope you grow up and if it's the former, that you seek help in therapy.

you seem to think you have me figured out, but your just guessing aimlessly. And if in fact i am a "middle class suburbanite punk " than quit taking my opinion seriously, and go out and do something with yourself, that is unless you have 'nothing better to do'. Sure, I acknowledge everything the ramones did for MUSIC as a whole. I don't see how you can say 'seek therapy'. I merely expressed my opinion, and if you can't grasp that, than you my friend need therapy.

Yes, I do seem to have you all figured out! Anyway, you need therapy if you make light of and are happy about another person's death simply because that person was in a band you didn't like the sounds of.

woah woah woah where are you getting this from!? DID I say all that? I intended to have this thread just talk about johny ramone's death, and people's opinions about it. I started by saying I've had enough of this band. YOU on the otherhand have been mislead by the 'FINALLY!' and for that I am sorry. And who are you nyway to reccomend someone to see a therapist? What gives you the authority?

Um, because I'm a psychology student (okay, it's a minor!)? I guess that doesn't really warrant me telling you to see a therapist, but let's just say my being a concerned observer of your behavior is warrant enough for me to recommend you spending money on a therapist.

ha, In any case, I wouldn't want it to seem like I'm happy because of his death. He died of cancer, and thats the way a family member left us, so there you go. I appriciate your 'observation' of me, but I assure you I need no therapist! So anyway, back to the way this thread was intended, speak your opinion of johny ramone and his death, and not me, unless you want to make a thread about that. Sorry for not making it clearer earlier.

He doesn't need therapy, he just need to grow up so he can see how useless it is trying to shock people with upsetting thread titles.

I'm not generally happy about anyone dying......its funny how your obsession with death metal seems to be your only identity.,,,you eulogize some guy in some metal band, but because a ramone died, and they are not metal, you appear happy...you take music too seriously chump.

obsession with death metal? too seriously? Is there some law that says I must be happy when someone not in a metal band dies? Dude, just read the posts earlier.

Alright, this is what I meant for this thread. I guess I can see how tyhe "Finally" in the thread's name could be seen as a sign of releife for me, sort of like I've been waiting for it, but what I really meant was Finally, after a two year long fight with cancer. Maybe next time someone dies of cancer, I'll mention that, so maybe next time, 30 year olds won't take it too literally. Sure, his music didn't appeal to me, but thats no reason to say I'm obssessed with 'death metal'. Goddamn.

Yeah, I'm not really trying to be an asshole to you, it's just that the word "finally" implies some sort of long awaited result being yeilded, which, in the context of someone's death, is a bit disturbing. I'd say the title should have been something like "Ramone dies" and the opening should have been along the lines of "So, the last Ramone died earlier. What is your opinion on this band". Something like that.
