I looked through and didn't see any posts about her. I must say, I absolutely love Joan Baez. She has the most beautiful voice, and I love the way she plays guitar Who else likes her?
I do, i especially like when she sings with others, her voice is really good by itself but when placed alongside someone like Donovan or Pete Seeger is when it really shines (imo)
I need to listen to more of Joan Baez, I like what I know, she has a great voice. I love the way on 'No direction home' they showed footage of her performing with bob dylan, trying to sing beautifully and harmonise with him, but him just could sing the tune at all.
Shes got an amazing voice (still to this day) Shes done more for music then most people realize. Thank her for putting Dylan on the map.
it's the voice about her i guess. and her early stuff. and of course, introducing dylan to the masses. but it's a shame, she could have written so much herself, but instead she made so many covers, and i guess it was comfortable to bask in the light of dylan. i like her, i wish she had lived out to her real talent.

I've recently started to do some amateur folksinging of my own, and I've been taking a singing class for adult beginners at the Royal Conservatory of Music. I've sung two solo songs in recitals so far, BOTH from the Joan Baez Songbook: "The Trees they Do Grow High", and "The Water is Wide". I expect I may cover more of this songbook in future as well, as I'm quite intrigued by Joan's traditional repertoire. Cheers, Hester

I was interviewed by a newspaper once and my article was right next to a Joan Baez article... i was super pumped...
I really like Joan Baez. I like her old songs but also the new ones. When I was 15 I went to a concert of her and I will never forgett it. She's one of my favorite Singers. But I also like the way she lived and she's still living. She did a lot for poor poeple and she's very political. Without Joan Baez I would maybe be less political than I am now. I listened to her a lot when I was a teenager and she had a big impact on me.

Joan Baez has such a great voice and of course she's a great musician as well. At the moment I especially love "sir galahad", can't get enough of it. Unfortunately I only know some of her songs. By the way how was the concert?
