I just want to say that I think Jesus was a stoner. All the signs are there. He had long hair and a beard. He was a carpenter, so he had the ability to make pipes and bongs. He was all about spreading peace and love. His disciples were probably his pot buddies, sitting in a circle smoking it up. He turned the water into wine. He could have turned it into anything else, but he turned it into wine. What do think?

Now I wouldn't call christ a "stoner" and I tend to go with Yogananda's interpretation of him myself, and Neem Karoli Baba's take...

But on the issue if he ever used the sacred ganja check out...

    http://www.cannabisculture.com/backissues/cc11/christ.html

It turns out he probably used it... Personally in my heart of hearts, I sense he did, but it was ONE of many methods...

the primary method and teaching of christ, is love, love god with all heart mind and soul, love your neighbor as yourself, never think, do, say, anything that would ever hurt anyone...

Thus become the christ consciousness, awaken to the chirst heart, the buddha mind, and shine, while practicing total nonviolence towards all beings!

Well, considering the harm that drugs do to your body, and the fact that your body is a temple for Christ, I think you are all wrong on the idea.

You're very wrong. In the bible it mentions a couple times that being under the influence of wine is a sin. I'm betting that wine also covers for other alcholoic bevarges, marijuana, and etc.

Jesus wouldn't get high man, face it.

Have you ever smoked weed bandit?

Weed does less harm on your body than walking through tokyo. Jesus wouldnt pass off the opportunity to go to japan!

Surfers smoke weed heaps. Jesus didnt really walk on water, he was surfing and no one back then had seen a surf board, so they thought he was walking on teh water. He was a surfer.

    The burning bush was weeeed!

And that would be a typical answer from you. I am the closed minded one here because I wont jump on your bandwagon and hold a sign that agrees with you? Get over yourself. You voice your opinion, I voice mine. Doesn't that put us in the same boat if you are telling me I am wrong? Closed minded? I think you are the closed minded one for not trying to look at it from my point of view.

StonerBill, when you decide to be serious, then we can talk.

I don't doubt that at all. That doesn't make it right though. That also doesn't include every person in The Bible or every priest, or what not.

I believe in Jesus, but I still think he was a stoner. I think christians disagree, because they don't want to think of Jesus, but as a good clean cut guy. Just for once could christians admit he was just as bad as the next person. I don't think anyone really knows what he was like unless they were with him. Heck, people even draw a picture of what he looked like. For all we know he could have been fat and bald. Oh that's right let me guess male pattern baldness wasn't around then.

...then why did he turn water to wine?
AND you have no right to tell anyone they are wrong. Feel free to say what YOU think, but keep it that way.

Jesus is God, so, he can't be, "just as bad as the next guy". Because he was in flesh form while on the earth, he frequently fasted to abstain from fleshly desires. There is a debate on how strong the fermentation of the wine was, but the Bible mentions in many verses not to indulge. When it comes to drugs, there is no, "Just a little". Either you are high, or you aren't. Look around at the world today and notice the addiction. People are willing to go to great lengths to get their fix. This is wordly. The Bible tells us to put on the armour of Christ and to abstain from partaking in the immoral pleasures of the world. Anything in connection with wordly pleasures is connected with the devil, since this is his domain. Drugs and alcohol have been the destruction of man, breaking up families, causing abuse, etc. The will of God is for his people to prosper, not to crumble. Since when does having long hair imply that you partake in illegal substances?

sure he was a carpenter and all that but he would have only been of an average build and probably fairly short by todays standards. he probably looked a fair bit like Osama Bin Laden.

God said, "Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree in which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to everything that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so." And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. (Gen. 1:29-31)
