This has been on my mind lately. People say all the time Jesus is the one and only savior and it's interesting to me. Throughout the Gospels Jesus calls us to be like him and be equal with him. To take his spirit into us. He is referred to as the Son of the Father, and we too are the children of God. So does Jesus in his earthly form not serve as an example for us to follow? He represents the type of qualities required to get into heaven. The focus is on his qualities and what he represents. Rather than a person who just gives us a pass card into heaven by claiming he is the one and only saviour. We should develop a Christ-like spirit full of positive qualities to achieve the ultimate good of heaven. These are what will save us really...right? It's like people think that if they just say Jesus is their savior they will be saved. But it's more than that. It's like a prayer. We can't pray to God to make us successful and he'll just grant it to us. We have to work and cultivate the qualities that will allow us to achieve success, while knowing God is there for us throughout the journey. It's the same with our spiritual lives. I just felt the need to get that out of my head! Phew! :daisy:
