I had jaw surgery in August and my jaw is very sensitive, I have to wear a mouth gaurd at night to keep my from grinding my teeth. Do a lot of people grind their teeth when rolling? Is it an extreme grinding or what? I cant chew gum, so what should I do? Thanks!

I dont think its a very good idea. You can cause alot of damage, especially if you had a recent surgery.

People can control it, but sometimes you cant because the feelings are so powerful and you are not even aware that you are doing it.

I went several hours without clenting my jaw, someone braught the subject up and then I started. You can control it though.

Don't know if this is true, but I heard on that taking a calcium supplement will prevent your jaw from clenching. I guess try it next time and see.

And yeah I'm pretty sure most people clench their jaws and grind their teeth when they do certain drugs.

You can control it if you just concentrate on it...though I'd recommend avoiding rolling until the effects subside; I've broken 3 molars and quite a few teeth while rolling.

If you insist on enjoying, though, I'd recommend buying a pacifier (I recommend the Gerber Knuck, about $1.50 at the grocery store).

taking calcium will simply make your teeth more resistant to the clenching.

in my oppinion, if you havnt tried mdma before, dont assume anything! dont take it if youve had jaw surgery unless youre heavily prepared to stop yourself from an urge.

You'll love it when you get the $15,000 dental bill in the mail when you have...:

    3 broken molars
    4 broken teeth
    26 cavities
    8 root canals
    9 crowns

...and a happy ride on the way home with your parents.

Take responsibility when rolling, 'lest you end up like me; I WAS going to be rolling a '97 Lexus SC-400 on 22"s, but then after the dental bills...more like a '86 Camry rolling on stock 16"s...pimpin'. :(

That is YOU though. Not everyone can, and even those who have good disicipline have slipped up and grinded. I think it depends on how hard you are rolling, and if you are... you not caring about grinding or unable to feel that you are.

gum, just get gum and put a big hunk of it in your mouth for the night, i always seem to start clenching once im coming down from the love and theres only a more amphetamine high going on, and i dont even realise that im doing it, last time i was wondering why my jaw was hurting, until i realised i was clenching it SO hard, my teeth felt brittle the next coupla days.

Keep your mouth guard in - if you look like a twat dont worry - no one will notice after a while lol

The most important thing is to enjoy yourself though

A mouthguard/retainer is an excellent choice of apparatus, mainly because it was designed to withstand grinding and such. Don't worry about looking like a doofus; if that's your pic in your sig I'd still bang your brains out. ;)
