My favorite book of all time is Jane Eyre --Charlotte Bronte

    I've read this at least 5 times since 7th grade,...now 20
Anyone ever hear of this one? Noone usually does when I mention it.

Well I'm sure it's not the best book out there on the market, but I mean I love how Jane takes control of her life and doesnt let anyone else change it. She makes all the rules. She's in charge of her life. She's a great woman to really learn from I'd say. She's definately not materialistic, vain, or selfish. In the end she still loves the man she's always loved, even though he does have a slight handicapp and even though he lied to her. So yeah, read the book

i vaguely remember trying it out of boredom one time.

i wasn't too much of a fan of that style of writing to be honest though i can see why the story is viewed as a masterpiece to some. especially my english teacher...she'd give her right arm to be able to study that book on our leaving certificate course.

charlotte does seem unfortunately to be the forgotten sister. seems a bit unfair when they both stand at the same level of talent.
