i've been thinking over my diet...and it's kinda funny...

    i don't think i'm getting enough fats. it would explain a great deal of my troubles lately. poor brain function, wacky hormonal issues, headaches, lack of energy. i just never really thought of it.

    yeah, i need to get some in somewhere. i'm not a fan of really fatty food, so when i pretty much cut fat out of my diet unintentionally i started feeling like hell. i just didn't notice because it was mostly eliminated by default.

    i did do very well on that diet. but i'm not very good at restrictive diets. can't keep it up.

    so i think i'll need to get some almonds and seeds that aren't COATED in salt. high blood pressure, you know.

    Walnuts are pretty fatty. Probably why they're my favorite. :D
    I've been eating more almonds, though, because they have more vitamin E...
    Try making some banana nut bread or something and eating it with a little butter on it. I made a giant loaf at the beginning of the week, and even after three people eating off of it and giving some away, there's still half a loaf on the kitchen counter.
    Shit, why didn't I bring some with me today??

    man, i love fish. a grilled salmon is my favorite. i wonder if we can start getting those little frozen tilapia fillets again. they's so handy. i'd prefer it if they weren't covered in a sauce, though.

    i've already learned the very handy trick of drinking a coke classic in the afternoons. it's worked wonders on my energy levels and mental functioning. i was a wreck before every afternoon. even with a nap or a good night's sleep. so much better.

    i thought diets didn't work? isn't that why people are always on them and never off them?

    actually i spoke to a scientist lady who had spent her life researching dieting and she found that the starvation response kicks in and you lose a few kgs at the beginning but then it plateaus and you actually end up gaining weight cos your metabolism shifts... it thinks you are not eating enough cos it's less than your used to.

    celery is the only food that gives you negative energy when you eat it! takes more energy to digest it than you get nutrients from eating it.

    i'm not on a "diet." my "diet" refers to how i eat. and it's lacking in fats.

    yah celery is great for negative calories. I just prefer not to stuff my face anymore. winter is over anyways lmfao, time to get my summer bod in tune ya know? but uh.. I cave for spice cookies...where are my damn spice cookies. not here..THANK...GODS

    True you actually burn off more calories consuming celery than it contains :eek:

    Now if only we could say the same thing about pizza, ice cream, and cheesecake
