When it comes to weed, E, salvia, and mushrooms I have to say that all positive and negative experiences should be looked at as just a drug. I've had uncomfortable, not necessarily bad, trips on mushrooms and I just told myself it was just a drug. I discovered the meaning of life on mushrooms, but it was just a drug. My friends and I discovered what energy is while on E, but it was just a drug. I think that anything related to these drugs should be held in the sense that it is just a drug. I can't talk about acid because I've never done it but it appears that it is more than just a drug and does change you, but I don't know.
I completely agree with you! N trust me LSD is just a drug, ketamine is just drug... Theyre all just drugs... Drugs for me r for recreational purposes only, nothing more, thats why I stick to coke n heroin (two times a year) cuz psychedelics r useless to me... Spirtuality, enlightment, finding the truth, unlocking the keys of the universe, discovering what energy is have nothing to do with drugs, you reach those through years n years of meditation... N even then it might be just meditation... you dig?
I think 'it's just a drug' are the shallow words. Negative aspects of a trip can consist of repressions of the mind brought to light; repressions that the user is not yet ready to face. If anything, 'it's just a drug' is THE COPOUT, when really the user should embrace the state and follow it through; repiecing together states of mind and ultimately building on a stronger character.
I think if anything, this dual perspective geared towards being at peace with a psychedelic experience is my main reason for ever taking it in the first place. And really it's never changed for me in that respect. Psychedelics are so bizarre and can be so grating on your nerves with sillyness that doesnt shake loose, and are also so profound and beautiful in the same moment. It feels like when you reach down into the source of your awareness, you find this center where everything that is right and wrong, holy and ugly, all come together to dance. Life is a cosmic belly laugh if you ask me. Whatever the fuck God is, She's freaking crazy and I love Her for that. I was saying to my friend yesterday that if God is at all aware of us in any isolated sense and judges us in any way, then God is fucking gay and I hope I go to hell. It is just a drug, and it is just God. Why be so hung up on such empty questions? They lead us around the same circle. I just like to play with them as interchangeable machines. God Bless
You dnt know what god is, n u even said "whatever the fuck god is" so how do u knw its a she? I knw its unfair that god in all organized religions is somehow a he, however that doesnt mean hes a she... anyways i dnt believe in it, he or she, i believe in me... oh n its funny how u placed the word fuck right before god... She bless ...
I will be the first to say fuck God, yet I pray and reflect on God all the time. Doesnt mean anything, it's just empty words with even more delusional intentions backing them up. As for calling God a She when I dont know what it is, the point is that God is everything. I personally choose to call it a She, because it is a She, and it is all She's, and all He's, and all ameoba and blood and soil and stardust and vibration. And let's get back on topic here, every thread is a part of God's creation so they dont all need to turn in that direction. Fuck Bless
hey man its just a drug that alters the way your brain functions, taking it away from the way it functioned before which is just the way it functioned it before. its just brain function.
last time I checked, the brain is physical. Mind isn't physical. Logic isn't physical, intuition isn't physical.
kizen you cant prove that the brain is the mind, what the hell are you talking about? I believe the mind is the brain, but many people cant imagine how the complexity of sensation and meaning and choices can be reduced to brain activity since scientists do NOT know how the brain works, its hard to say that there is any proof whatsoever that the mind is bound by physical laws. but thats one of the remaining frontiers for intellectual humans to get a grip on the word 'just' is a pretty bad one in human language. you can put it before something, like 'its just a drug' or 'its just brain function'. and yeh it might be those things.. but the effect of a drug, or the mechanics of the brain are highly complex, so the word 'just' doesnt really do itself justice
I'm sorry, at the very BEST, you could say that the mind is a PRODUCT of the brain, but that is it. If you think the brain IS the mind, then I don't even know what to say. The brain is physical, and everything it knows and understands, it gets through physical means (the senses). Let's say I have a piece of wax, and I ask you to describe it to me using your 5 senses. Sight = .... Sound = .... Taste = .... Touch = .... Smell = .... Ok. Then let's say I take the same piece of wax, and melt it right before you, and then ask you to describe to me the melted wax using your senses. Sight = ... Sound = ... Taste = ... Touch = ... Smell = ... All of your sensory imputs would give you different descriptions of the same piece of wax. But then, what if I ask you "Is this the same piece of wax I showed you previously?" Of course you would say yes, but on what grounds would you know that it is the same one? According to all of your senses, it is different. The only way you know, is with your mind. But where is this elusive mind, and how does it sense? It isn't a physical thing, like the brain. So where is it, how can it be the same as the brain?
That reasoning doesnt seem very tight, neodude. The brain has many more senses than the 5 main ones. You know it is the same piece of wax because your brain stores the information of experiences.. you can tell it is the same wax because you saw it change. If you didnt see it change, you couldnt know it was the same wax. Unless it had a very specific colour or something, in which case you would be using your senses of your surrounding, as well as your internal sense of your memories, sensing no other wax in your memory that has a similar colour.
oh it's tight. Think about it, your eyes don't comprehend change. Your eyes don't tell you it changed, they just relate the physical sense of sight and what there is to see. The second step of that process is intepreting the information the eyes are giving you. The physical eyes by themselves don't do this. It's the mind that senses change.
But the eyes aren't the brain. The brain is a highly complex organ! Its like saying that the computer can only detect what letters are being pressed on the keyboard but it cant detect whether you have written your password right or not?
