If you mean the bottom leaves, than no big deal. Tye the growing tip down to a lower point on the stem to increase side branching. If indoors, make sure the plants are close enough to the light- and that you have enough light to begin with. It takes a few days to a week or two of 12 hour nights to begin flowering.
Take a look at my Shivs Skunk pics. I am using the LST method, tying down, and you will see what gecko is suggesting. I think some nutes, if you're not using them yet, would help with the dying foliage. Some info about your set up will be helpful for better suggestions.
I use the 18/6 pattern throughout their veg period and then switch to 12/12 when ready to flower. My girls are currently 6 weeks into vegging and started to show female preflowers at 4 weeks into veg. I will put them into flower, 12/12, tomorrow. I find it is best to let your plants veg under 18/6 for 6-8 weeks, then switch to 12/12.
Geckopelli, you saying "close enough to the light", is there some rule that helps for like a given wattage so many inches min/max? You now how much hotter a MH light is versus a fluorescent, leaf burn would be the concern then, right? Would appreciate your thoughts
