...to be too spiritually enlightened? Has anyone ever thought maybe they've experienced this and as a result people think oddly of them? I've often wondered if people I know think that I'm weird. I know some of them do. I could care less about those people because most of them are insignificant. In my mind, I don't see anything wrong with the way I am and I wish more people were like me. However, every once in awhile I wind up wishing I were more "normal" like other people. The thought passes but I can't help it from crossing my mind.

    Anyone else experience this?

    If you surpass your environment
you will take a step back
    into a cave

precisely but the cave and it's depth are two different things. this goes for everyone I suppose...so is everyone isolated in their own cave?

the cave is endless...once you get so far then what happens to the outside world?

    heh
    I love interpretations.

I think that when you become enlightened, especially in babylon, you will want to free yourself from everyone elses bullshit, and get back to grassroots living, dig?

Although, some people take it forward, rather than backward
and end up changing the world
completely out of their mind batshit crazy

    haha

a lot of folks can't seem to handle the information overload.

you must be in a good environment.

    these cities are not good.

    although, some people like "opportunities"

    most people get a glimpse
    and never return
    others see too much
    and there's no turning back.

Everything is perfectly balanced . .

Enlightenment will weed out the bullshit that enlightenment causes.

    or something like that

i know what you mean. totally, but i don't think you could be "too" enlightened. its just that the others who think you're "weird" are the ones that aren't enlightened enough, they're just going about the world thinkin 1+1=2 when we know that 1+1 can equal whatever you want it to.

do you see what im saying?

i feel isolated in some ways. i think it's just a personal thing. a lot of people feel they are "different" in some ways. but i don't think it should affect the way you are around others or the way you feel towards others. each person is a puzzle piece. you may fit or may not, you just have to deal with it.

And there's this vast sea of consciousness
    where some people can swim
    and others just drown

in my opinion it is possible to think your to spiritually enlightened..
ive met so many people that say they have "achieved enlightenment",that in reality have done nothing more than become well read pompous arrogant pricks...
in fact,by the highlighted statement of yours its obvious you are nowhere near as enlightened as you yourself think you are...

this is such a commonplace thing in those claiming to be "enlightened" that we now hang a sign on our gate reading,

    "ZEN FREE ZONE"

This problem seems to be the worst among those who also profess to be zen Buddhists..:p

I do like to entertain the thought (although it is likely i am wrong, i personally doubt it) that anyone who is "enlightened" would not be POSTING MESSAGES ON FORUMS about that very fact. I do however think there is a point hiding somewhere in this madness caused simply by an error in semantics. I would like to propose (for the sake of the originator of this thread) that perhaps by "enlightenment" what was meant was something close to "having been slightly frazzled by psychedelics". I must enforce that this is said in the most respectful tone possible. I love what psychedelics can do for people's minds, but there is no such thing as chemical enlightenment.

I don't see exactly what you're getting at. We all know people who we think of as insignificant. As well as the old phrase, "If they don't like you, fuck em." Don't tell me I haven't acheived enlightenment. Nor am I an arrogant prick.

Edit: I simply asked a question. There's no need for you guys to start insulting me.
