Ask for a jug of orange juice at breakfast, in a restaurant?

Well I tried, they don't do 'jugs' of OJ, and I was told by a family member that it wasn't proper etiquette to ask for one, anyone else know about this? Well know you've got a heads up, don't do it, bad form.

Never heard of such a thing. They offer the "jug" option at House of Pancakes, the universally regarded finest restaurant in town,,

I like jugs. I like 'em big. I like big jugs.

Yeah, you just ask for a glass of OJ.
You can ask for a jug of water, but OJ, milk, things that cost money; glass.

    Breakfast at a resturant?

And you wanted a jug of OJ and you were going to return the jug after the OJ was gone?

Perhaps if you called it a pitcher instead.

That is a good point... though you'd probably pay through the nose.

A guy I used to know would order a free water, with free lemon, and a couple packets of sugar... When they would recommend lemonade he would repeat himself by saying, " I need a FREE water, some FREE lemons, and some FREE packets of sugar"

I think he was onto something...
