I totally am, I can't wait! I'm having a pumpkin carving party the day before, and I've already started organizing my house decorating things for that day! What fun... I can't wait!
I am pretty excited as well... though I am not doing anything special, was going to have a party, but then I dont want all those people in my apartment might take my nieces trick or treating, or something, dont know yet... Ya know, I have never carved a pumpkin in my life
you've never carved a pumpkin!!!!!!! oh you've got to! they're so much fun taking out all the insides and then you can cook the seeds and those are pretty damn good! but i don't have any friends to go trick or treating with
i am more excited than my kids are!! I am gonna be a blue fairy ( a fairy as usual ) and my husband is going to be the devil i still carry a bag and trick or treat with my kids too and people still give me candy HAHAHA!!
hehe, I am actually going to carve a pumpkin this year, or at least attempt to try haha I usually draw the faces on with a black marker but I think this year, I will actually carve one..hehehe
lol it's not as fun if you buy that candy yourself as if you go around collecting it! oh candy.. candy, candy, i haven't had candy for so long
I can't believe you never carved a pumpkin! I love seeing little kids all dressed up for halloween.... they're so adorable! It's really fun to see kids who are really in to halloweeen going around the neighborhood, they look so adorable in their costumes!
hehe, yeah, sad, this I know Yeah, little kids dressed up is the best.. I remember this little kid came to my door once and we was dressed up as a doctor, and I was like ahhh you are so cute and such, and he said, I'm a doctor so I can get all the women I laughed so hard I cried..hahaha, I will always remember that
You know it. It's my very favorite holiday! I'm thinking about getting some fireworks for this year too. The costumes, candy, decorations, pumpkin, music, wine and cakes, dancing naked in a circle and chanting all aren't enough for me, I love spectacle! I gotta add more. :X I just have to figure out how to make it more theatrical. :H Maybe something after the dancing naked and eating cakes and drinking wine. I can close the circle with a fireworks salute to the four corners, what do you think?
we should devote the entire month to halloween instead of just one day. Oh wait, that's right, since I'm soooo,"goth" (or so I am told), everyday is halloween. Nevermind.
im really excited about halloween this year, theres a costume party (im goin as jack skellington ) and then were gonna get hammered and go trick or treatin at age 16 pissed out our faces shud be funny
we got a couple of miniature pie pumpkins in the CSA share this week - i just told one of my vegan friends i was going to attempt a vegan pumpkin pie so the timing's perfect. i totally love the autumn. i always go a little nutty this time of year. i'm hoping to get the chance to get out for some hikes, to see a little fall color. (c'mon, matt! let's go hiking!) this year i'm thinking of dressing as the fool from the rider-waite-smith tarot deck, with my 2-year-old dressed as the little white dog (depicted on the tarot card romping at the fool's heels.) nobody will get it, of course, but it'll be a fun costume, and since halloween coincides with samhain, (the witches' new year) it'll be symbolic as well. i don't know what my son wants to be yet. probably something expensive, difficult & time-consuming to sew. unfortunately we won't be doing much decorating this year, as we're in the process of dividing everything up for the divorce and the place looks like a disaster area. but we'll be doing jack o'lanterns at the very least.
