Do you think it's possible to actually become invisible? I read an article on spontaneous human invisibility. It easily could have been a fabrication....but strangely enough, I think a person could become invisible if they learned how

From what I read in order to be invisible you need to bend the light around you so none of the light is actually touching you. But if you did that no light would get to your eyes thus you would be blind.

people who leave their body's behind are kind of hard to see when they do.

at least until they are born into new ones.

at least to those of us who have gotten used to living in our's.

    (zengizmo's answer's pretty good too.)

Wow I wish it was possible but it is most definitely impossible to become invisible. It's always fun to think about it though.

In the original 1933 movie The Invisible Man doesn't
the invisibility serum drive him slowly insane.

Perhaps it wasn't really the serum after all but the
invisibility itself working on the human psyche'

ever had an "out of body experience"? (what a fucking retarded phrase)

i bet youd really have to use your imagination to see yourself. and i dont believe youd need your eyes to do so either weedman.

ainsteins thory is that if u band space and time you can become invinsibe and eaven travel through time. so its theoreticy proven but not experimentaly (couse you have to traven faster than speed of light).

OBE out of body experience its nothing but psychological state. maby with your mind you can "Go out" and see like u do in astral projection but its has nothing to do with spirit (i belive).

Yes I do.....not in the "traditional" way though lol

What I mean is, if I go out to town, and dont want to be
seen or bothered by anyone..I can make a conscious
    decision to become "invisible"

    it works every time!

you can only travel in time one direction though, back. the closer you come speed of light the slower time passes. you dont have to go the speed of light (at least not to slow time) you just have to go really fast

Actually, the military is working on a shield for soldiers now the makes you invisible by bending all the light around you. In demonstrations, it effectively works, however the user isn't blind, but they do see their own reflection. Some type of small camera around the outfit was thinking about being used in combination with goggles of sorts to give the user complete 360 vision while being invisible.

To take a turn, Ninjitsu teaches invisibility - in terms of promoting that invisibility is really all in the eye of the behold. It further goes to discuss different techniques to make this possible. Being a very diverse practitioner in many, many arts - I can attest that it works, with skill.

Isn't invisibility subjective tho? you might become invisible to people but dogs would be able to scent you so they would know you were there. also you would emit heat so wouldn't you show up on the night time cameras? sight is only 1 sense innit. anyhoo, stealth bombers are meant to be invisible but i can see them no probs :)

as far as the military i thought they stop as soon as they got microwave waves to bend around them which would be alot more useful that being invisible because radar wouldnt find you

Out-of-body experiences? Absolutely! In some circumstances, it is the mechanism that keeps us sane. The psychiatric field of study calls it a dissociative reaction, and it protects our minds from that which we find impossible to accept. It takes many different forms, but for me, it usually happens when I find myself in a totally unacceptable, but inescapable social setting. . . I'm sure you've been there yourself from time to time -

    Cheers,
    I. McLennon
