what documentaries have you watched lately? i watched "did cooking make us human" the other day and i thought it was good, but they could have done with fewer chewing food closeups. http://topdocumentaryfilms.com/cooking-human/
Food Inc and What the Bleep Do We Know. I'm having trouble thinking of more. http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/forumdisplay.php?f=296
my two favorites are "parallel lines" by Nina Davenport...about a road trip a girl takes back to NYC after 9/11 and "dying at grace" ..by Alan King ....a documentary following a few people who agreed to be filmed until the moment they die after being diagnosed with terminal illness and Im surprised I remember the names of the people who made them...that alone reminds me of how good they were
Jesus Camp, Devil's Playground, Zeit Geist series, Taboo is an interesting Documentary series that coves Taboos across the globe and how different cultures deal with them
i luv a good documentary.. last few i watched were some antelopes, one about how the parthenon was constructed, and one about fractal geometry
saw that the other night , I like how the one guy has a school and teaches people the high wire act.. im pretty good at it myself, but dont think id go over anything more than 6ft off the ground nowadays.. I watched the Ny bridge doc.. it was cool..
Z for Zachariah was really good, but also terribly depressing. Soul crushingly depressing. It's great, but don't watch it unless you're in a mood to cry and ruin your day. Nova's special "Becoming Human" was really good too, OP reminded me of it since in one part they focus on the introduction of cooking to our evolution.
"Super High Me" and "Tupac: Resurrection" are my two favorite documentaries. I highly recommend both of them.

I can vouch for Home, it's great, anyone who likes the Planet Earth series will love it. Also any documentary on North Korea is always fascinating.
