I don't think so. My sister is dating somebody eleven years older than her. They've been going out for five years now--she's almost 20 now. I don't find it weird at all.
Haha!^^ I feel like it's wrong just because if you were a 20 y/o guy with a 14 y/o girl, that would be wrong in nearly everyone's book, but for some reason it's ok when the girl's older...? Seems like a double standard to me. As to what you could ever find attractive about a 14 y/o boy is another question entirely. 14 in male years is about 5 in female years...blech.
I don't necessarily find it wrong... Really uncommon, strange, sure... Different strokes for different folks, etc.. But I honestly don't know how there could be that much emotional or intellectual connection... I mean, I'm 17 and I generally go for older guys because I just can't connect with guys my own age on any level, for the most part...
Im with moonjava ~ im 17 & guys my age around here, ugh there is just not any connection at all... In my opinion, I think it's wrong because if a man was 20 with a 14 year old girl...that would be just weird and plain wrong. So, I believe it to be the same way turned around. I advise you to find someone your own age...not because i said to because you are your own person and its your choice...but for legal matters and also...emotional matters.
Hell, I agree with you there, I cant get along with guys my age, theyre too clingy and puppy love, I like older, theyre mature and responsible. Hell i find myself liking more guys in their late 20s and 30s now. If theyre attractive and have a good personality... but a 20 yr old and a 14 yr old? too young IMO. Hes probably telling his middle school friends about you... "hey man! Im going out with a 20 yr old!!! yipee!"
I've never went out with a chick younger than me, nor have I ever bragged about the age of some I went out with. (Heck, I never even told the kids when I was in middle school.) I've always been a couple notches above the boys and girls at my school in the maturity department though.
