You shouldn't ruin your relationship or not respect them anymore because they won't let you smoke weed. I mean, they're your parents and parents don't want their kids smoking drugz. I now how marijuana looks in your eye, but really if they're not "users" how could you expect them to try and understand? They don't want you to end up being lazy and having an unhealthy lifestyle. It's really not unreasonable of them either.

Just go out for a drive when you want to smoke or just stop. It's not that hard.

    ^^This is actually pretty reasonable^^

Tough choices sometimes- whether to submit to a set of rules you really feel are too restrictive or to go out on your own and support yourself. House rules can be a bitch but life under their roof will probably be a whole lot easier if you abide by them. I know this isn't exactly what you want to read but posting that isn't going to do you any favors- any more than arguing with them on some premise that they do not understand marijuana when as non-users, all they need to really know is that it's illegal and to be assured that none is being used or kept on their premises.

There's nothing else that they need to understand. What's really at stake isn't misunderstanding marijuana- because the permissiveness in permitting him some leeway in safely storing it in the garage reflects the expectation that one can be a regular marijuana user while simultaneously respecting boundaries and behaving in a responsible manner- but by being careless with his paraphernalia he has suggested that it just may not be the case. What's really at stake is a bond that was built on a premise of respect and trust has been broken. Thisisme5 has in fact taught his folks that the leeway they gave was a mistake.

Again, I do think that deep down thisisme5 grasps the situation pretty well and this is more or less a vent on his part. I'd look at it as a tolerance break... and a chance to mend the relationship with the folks.

Thanks bro, I really needed that.

To all the rest of you who tried to understand and give me good advice I thank you. It really was more of a rant than anything, I just get REALLY mad sometimes when people make decisions/judge/act when they don't see the full story.

That being said I realize I fucked up and I need to deal with the consequences unfortunately. I really don't have the economic standing to make it on my own at this point as university is expensive as fuck and I REFUSE to drop out. (On that note those who said 75% isn't that good probably didn't go to university or took an easy course. I'm in commerce and I'm 15% above probation i'd say that's not bad for someone with a well balanced life.) Overall I think I'm a pretty damn good kid, help around the house, good freind-like relationship with parents, I reserve judgement and I don't fuck around with anything I don't thoroughly understand. Honestly this is the only thing my parents and I fight about.

Bottom line I guess I figured at some point I would get through to them and show them I can be responsible with it while still having a good time in life. Either way I think I'm done for a while, good vibes stoner lounge and keep livin.

In Canada at least where I've gone to school 70-79 is considered a B with 80+ as an A. I got $1500 last year just for having an 80% average.

    Shits different bro.

i shoulda known... fuckin' canadians

most of my science classes were graded on a curve. for example, if the best grade on the test was a 90%, that was considered 100%, so if you got a 70, that was an 80 (or B). that's a simplified version of a curve though.

cellular respiration... i think that means glycolysis and the TCA Cycle (or Kreb's cycle). well you start with glucose (sugar) and several enzymes act on it one by one. i think the first one is hexokinase but i could be wrong. you go through several intermediates like fructose 1,6-bisphosphate, and fructose 2,6-bisphosphate.

so obviously, if you need to know the names of all the intermediates and enzymes...i can't help you there. i had to memorize it at some point, and did my best. i can look that shit up if i need to in real life. :)

the point of glycolysis is to convert glucose to 2(?) pyruvate molecules and some small amount of ATP. the TCA cycle then converts the pyruvate to something else, yielding ~24? ATP.

not exactly simplified, but there ya go.

i got it down... glucose is broken down into pyruvate through clycosis.. 4 atp are made.. 2 are used and net 2... then it goes into the pyruvate to an acytl group.. where for each pyruvate: 1 CoA 1(or 2) NADH and 1 CO2 is made... so you net 2 CoA 2 NADH and 2 CO2.. then it enters the krebs or citric acid cycle.. where NADH and FADH2 are made and 2 ATP.. 2 FADH2 and like 6 NADH.. then you go into the ETC where electrons go through a bunch of different enzymes.. oxloacetate... cytochrome c.. etc.. 30-34 ATP are made and the final electron is oxidized..

    :D :sifone:

a week ago this was gibberish to me.. now i can sum it up in 60 seconds

You got caught... I can't really feel bad for you when you made an idiotic mistake like leaving a bowl out. If you're serious about smoking in your parent's house and them not finding out, you're going to have to try a lot harder than that....Build a sploof, put your weed in glass jars so it doesn't smell, use spray when you smoke, buy eye drops, all that jazz. I've never been caught smoking in my parent's house, and I've smoked multiple bowls while they were right in the next room.

If I were you I wouldn't even risk smoking in the house anymore. My mom doesn't really care that I smoke, but it's clear your parents don't want you near the stuff. Just smoke outside/with friends until you graduate I guess?
