im officially over america

so its a month from the elections, and im sick of america, ppl are getting on my ass about not voting. but i dont care, this country has hit its peak, it has climaxed (granted, about 10 yrs ago) and now the slope is down hill. very soon the only cool place is gonna be nyc.

so let me say this: fuck america, thats right, fuck america. it will never fix itself. i mean christ! either i wont be allowed to have a gun to defend myself or the gun ill have will be a M4 over in iraq, fuck this country, go canada!

and for those who are all high and mighty about voting, lets say that voting is really the way presidents are elected (which it isnt, the corporations pick em) why bother? most of the ppl that are voting for obama are doing so because hes black (just being honest) and some ppl are voting for mcain because hes not, and the rest because they are republicans.

even my best friend is being a prick about me not voting, and he is voting third party! wtf is wrong with all the dumb americans. keep paying attention to your fucking reality show you call the elections. im not playing. fuck america

I live in canada but that doesnt change the fact that everythings still going to shit.. our housing market is royally fucked over and all americas economic problemes are going to take their toll on us eventually.. in the past we had rpoblemes but they were all black and white solutions in my opinion.. it was war and shit but it needed to be done it was for a good cause (see World War 2) and eventually we got through it but now the problemes run so deep and everything is so corrupt we need to radially change society if we want to prosper...

i don't believe anymore that obamas strongest suit is race. perhaps during the primaries, but at this point most people voting for obama are voting for an alternative to bush style policy.

last two presidential elections, in my opinion, were not rigged, but WERE stolen.

to me a flat out rigged election is not that far out there.

but, this is all as "maybe"

maybe the election is rigged. then your vote won't count
maybe the election is not rigged. then your vote will count (insofar as it will help determine your state's dedication of electoral votes)

either way, it takes a shot period of time to potentially make some kind of difference.

do you have a better way? and if so, what?

i'm not denying the possibility of a rigged election. i'm not saying voting will absolutely make a difference.

i AM saying it wont hurt, and MAY help. so why not vote? what good reason is there? and if voting doesnt work, and you're fed up with the current system, then what do you intend to do to change the system or put in place a NEW system?

Normally I discourage voting and suchlike but here I would say do it, please. I know it's tactical voting and not doing it because you agree particularly with a candidate but seriously, if not for America then for the rest of the world's sake.

America often fancies itself as 'the world' and its political goings on have repurcussions for a lot of people everywhere, no-one anywhere can handle any more Bushist vicious economic and foreign policy and yeah, the same pigs in big business are still in control and there'll still be fucked up policy, domestic and foreign but if anything do it because of Palin. She is one scary fucker. The fact that someone holding those views could actually get anywhere near being pres (which is a fair possibility, as McCain could quite easily die whilst in office seeing as he's a pensioner and all) is extremely worrying to other people..

Shit, our politics are by no means particularly progressive over here but she would not be welcome in any mainstream party and would be relegated to some nutcase minority party coming in somewhere behind the greens, socialists and the far right nationalists. Please do not let her get anywhere near the White House. The Republicans are not foreign policy people (it's in the name, really), they couldn't give two shits about the rest of the world, which is fine if they want, that's their thing, but their actions have repercussions that reach much further than the borders of the US and having someone that fucking dumb in such a position of power is an extremely frightening prospect for people everywhere.

Obama's not particularly good, 'democracy' as we know it is a lie, we have no real power wherever we are, we have no real choice, money rules out at the end of the day but you're not going to change their system overnight. Having a black president is a step in the right direction in terms of progression and shifting attitudes, getting rid of that horrible closed mentality and is seriously a thousand times better than letting that fucking woman anywhere near power, she's insane, madder than Bush.. He's a puppet, she's downright fucking evil..

That's how I see it, my words shouldn't necessarily have any bearing on what you decide to do and I totally respect your right not to vote because their game is a shit lie but think about it. If you do decide not to vote at least go to the polling station and spoil your ballot as I have the last two elections here, write none of the above or something on it and draw a big cock Let 'em know what you think..
