I read posts on a thread about music and I was surprised.
Users were unkind to other users and other users we joining in.
I recall some of the users having senior status.
No one was really standing up for anyone in a nice way.
I'm not sure what threads are safe.
I'm not trying to judge anyone or the community.

Any tips on what threads are safe?

Some of the Forum Games threads are a good place to get started. Some of them are set up for good-natured "insulting" so you might want to just read those until you know who is who and how they joke.

there are no safe threads

if someone is really being obnoxious, you can flag their post by clicking on the red triangle on bottom left-hand corner of the post

in most cases, it's best to just give people the what-for yourself

senior status doesn't mean shit. you have as much right to use the site as anyone else. if you tell a mod to fuck off though, you would likely be banned
