Mushy peas can be nice with fish and chips, with a sprinkling of vinegar. But with a Sunday roast? For one thing, the vinegar will turn the mashed potato to goo and make everything else taste weird, and for some reason my mum's mushy peas usually end up too thick. They weren't bad today, but maybe that was because I had to cope with another challenge - parsnip. Or as I like to call it, roast potato with sugar on. Eww (Edit) I really should add, apart from the pea thing, my mum's Sunday dinners are great
