I'm a thread killer

It seems like about half the time when I post in a thread all discussion immediately dies and the thread drops down the list. I wonder why this is...

 

This used to happen to me, too. Still does at times. It really does make you feel weird about yourself, doesn't it? Like, not hardcore crying and pulling out hair screaming "why don't they leik meeeee???", but just that little spark of insecurity, lol.

 

i take pride in my ability to kill threads. i just figure my response was so awesome that no one can top it.

 

Meh, you get used to it after a while.

In time you will reflect with pride on those threads that you killed.

I used to think that too. But then I started posting things mildly critical of dog owners, junk food, the corporate media, etc. Boy do people get defensive about beloved American establishment institutions and tradition such as dogs, McDonald's, Fox News, the military, the police, the U.S. government, etc. Makes for good threads.
