Wow, people! Thanks to the nice people who said nice things about me -- I'm flattered, and I appreciate it.

I've never meant to be a dick here, although I know I've descended to that now and again. It's just too easy for me to vent about the frustrations that afflict me here and there in everyday life. I end up ranting about poor grammar and spelling (two big pet peeves of mine) and all kinds of other stuff. It doesn't mean I'm truly a hateful asshole. Actually, in real life, in practice, I'm a generous, polite, friendly, approachable person! (I understand if you have a hard time with that one, but it's true.)

I'm just saying that I figure it's time to stop saying things if they're just gonna be pissy and not-nice. It's that old, "Mama said if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all" thing. There's good wisdom in that, I think.

Now, with that said, go read my gripe about Breyer's ice cream in the consumer advocacy forum! (It's okay to hate a corporation, right?)

For you to realize that just as some people viewed you to be an asshole it wasn't a complete view of who you were, yet you judged me and degraded me repeatedly based on the little bit you did know. I know I did provoke you a time or two, and I apologize. That's all I really wanted to say was that in practice I share some of those same qualities, so please, try to inquire and understand before you judge(anybody, not just me )
