This was the most vivid dream I've had in years. Anyone care to attempt an interpretation? I won't bore you with the whole thing, just the ending: A friend of mine is mortally wounded in a game of hedgehog croquet that turns violent. I drag him into the back seat of a getaway car while the driver speeds away (east). I try everything to dress his wounds, but nothing works. Finally I just start yelling at him: "Don't die. If you die, you will go to hell." over and over. He dies. Then I realize I don't care, so I look out the window and watch the beautiful city lights as we approach Chicago.
well apparenly death in a dream means change...good or bad, i remember having quite a hard time with life, then i had a dream of a family relative who died, then after that strangely enough everying dramatically got better, whether this was just coincidence i don't know, but i guess theres always a chance that it had something to do with my dream
i recently dreamed of dying twice in one night. the first time it was suicide to wake up (first time that ever failed), the second time i was mario (of video game fame) and it was a really beautifully cinematic death for the good ol' brooklyn plumber. the only change was that i finally got a decent night's sleep for the first time in months
I'd say it's prophetic. It's prophetic and beautiful and perfect. It's the perfect dream. It has every thing from horror (friend mortally wounded? YIPES) to outrageous humour (hedgehog coquet) not to mention thelogy, history, literature, music and art associated with "hell"(/Heaven) and of course life's ultimate question about "What is it worth? Is it beautiful? Is it funny? Is God good?" And one more which I'd like to personally answer "yes" to, namely: Am I dreaming or am I in Heaven or am I still alive. cheers!~
