Would you download programs that would conflict with you're other software?

does conflict mean interfere or damage and permanently or temporarily

also importance of a drug induced experience compared to the risks involved is very relative (edit wow im a dumbass thats obviously the point haha)

define conflict with? i dont know if i understand this clearly. you mean like a virus that would wreak havoc on my shit? certainly not. or do you mean a program that differs so greatly with anything iv ever seen on my computer before that it causes me to seriously reconsider what i thought i knew about computer programming? absolutly. if this new software conflicted with the old to such an extent that they were just not compatible, then id be forced to side with the superior program. isnt that what we're constantly doing? letting go of pre-concieved notions that no longer fit our understanding of reality upon revelation?

i mean, we have to consider the possibility that the software we currently possess is sub-par, if we are to continually upgrade ourselves

edit: i guess im losing focus of the original question, drugs being the software and not the mind. im lost in the metaphor

i think drugs are more like programming tools, than programs

for my computer? thats the only way i can make sense of that question. I don't think i would like a dissociated machine. i don't think i would like my machine fucked up at all really. unless there was like a USB cord to channel these programs into my dome.

Lmao. I don't want a dissociated computer at all either. But we do use programs to accomplish something, right? So if you had a dissociation program it could dissociate you right? Then I would download all the known programs... AND I would learn how to program...

i dont know that it would be, other than to simply observe the qualitative difference of the program, from what im currently running.

Listen to Terrence McKennas talk " psychedelics in the age of intellegent machines"
He talks about the comparison between drugs and computers/programs and talks about when you are on drugs, you are on a new/different operating system etc.

    interesting stuff.

but whats the perfect program for us?
the engineering of the human body came designed to load the programs...
but some these over the counter programs are viruses...

Lol, the perfect program for us is LSD 9.0. For everyone mostly. Some operating systems can't handle or comprehend LSD 9.0. Some people using older operating systems that are not updated to the new specs of todays program usage might have conflicts with their syntax rules. Either way, whoever is running the newer OSes should be good to go.

    Haha. You rock orison.

I don't really know what you mean in your example, but I'd say psychedelics are like running a new Window manager. Not sure about other types of drugs as I haven't used em, but that's the best example I can think of. A window manager or desktop environment.
