Dense forest. Gills: Seem to be seperate from eachother, run your finger along them and they all bend seperately Stem: White, Brown at the bottom (probably from where its been in the ground) Cap: Best way to describe is like little mexican hats. Flat brown tops with 'nipple' bumps in the centre. Spore print: N/A Bruising: Blue bruising has occured on the stems. Location: South Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
You should have taken a spore print man... How does the bruising look? Is it a pretty bright blue? Or is it kind of dull? To me, these shrooms look active, but I cant be sure. My other beef is that you didn't take a spore print - which should be a brownish/purple color if you can still take one- and the gills look a little too light colored for me... I'm not 100% sure, but I think they should be more of a dark brownish... I would NOT advise eating these shrooms, until you can take spore prints of EVERY mushroom picked, and can absolutely match these shrooms to the given credentials of psilocybe subaeruginosa. If they are around fallen trees and grasses, there is also a possibility there may be some poisonous ones in there (Galerinas come to mind), so make DAMN sure you know what you've got before you ingest it. I would def. post an ID request on the Shroomery. They will be able to tell you a lot more than anyone here...
yesterday I picked some psilocybe aucklandii ( I live in nz) Which is what those shrooms look like to me, however you dont get them in Australia. Psilocybe subaergonisa are similar to psilocybe aucklandii, and from looking at those pics I would say you have found some shrooms. Give us a picture of the bruising- they should go dark blue, the bluing is sometimes hard to see because of the brown-white stems, so wat you can do is cut up a stem and leave it in a cup of warm water- the water should turn blue.
Four Winds, The Galerina's don't have the 'nipple' slimy tops from what I've seen, They were fine we've ingested them. Didn't have enough for a good trip but it was fine none-the-less.
