i just tried dxm this monday and for the most part it was a pleasant experience. but the one thing that kinda puzzled me was that sometimes at random moments id get really itchy on my scalp and then itd move to my chest and back then id get really hot and id take off my sweatshirt, then id get cold 2 mins later and put it back on. i thought this was kinda odd...im just wondering if this is normal with robo-tripping.

Absolutely normal, and especially common on the scalp.

I ALWAYS get EXTREMELY itchy on my scalp when I robotrip.. I mean itchy to the point where I literally CAN'T stop scratching, lest I go crazy. One morning, after a night of much DXM, I actually woke up with bloody scratches all around my hairline.. You'd think I'd have felt it if I were actually breaking skin, but nope! I was just that itchy.

I've found that using all the self restraint you have and not scratching once it starts to itch really helps, like the damn things spreads. "I got so high i scratched till i bled." -Nirvana.
One time it got so bad i was rubbing up and down on my bed for like an hour and a half (or two minutes, who knows when you are that fucked up), scratching like crazy, next morning i had little scabs all over my body.

yeh you can just keep scratching caus it feels soooo good. but i guess you dont have to go that hard. but the scratch feels wonderful. like you know when you get an itch and it feels particularly great to scratch that part instead of scratching elsewhere? its like that sensation of it being a worthwhile scratch

today i did dxm again and i have to say that i am never going to touch that stuff ever again. at one point i was sweating bullets and my heart was racing and i fell on the floor. it scared me enough to not really want to fuck with it anymore. i really thought i was going to die, but then i calmed down and waited out the rest of the trip. i think i might have just gotten worked up because it was so much more intense this time than the last timei tried it. last time i just did regular robotussin dm, but this one was the rite aid brand of robotussin dm. i checked out the ingredients and it seemed ligit. so im guessing i just got a stronger dose this time, cuse my eyes are still alittle bugged out (i did it around 1 and its 11:30 now) but it scared the shit out of me so im probably not going to do it again.

it's a common somatic side effect of morphinans. morphine may give some people that sensation too.

Olney Lesions, in rats...the verdict still isn't in regarding humans (inconclusive).

this is still just a theory of NMDA-antagonist (particularly the ones with sigma-opioid affinity) dissociatives in general

Um... if you cover one eye the blurryness/doublevision seems to go away for the most part. DXM makes it so your eyes can't focus.

There is no hard proof if Olney Lesions actualy occur. Whites theory was flawed, and a time after his first paper was written, he wrote a new one to apologize for spreading the word about Olney Lesions, because for all he knows they dont exist at all.
