I just recently realised that there are dead animal products (not diary) in just about everything....Jelly babies, cheese cake, icecream, chips... argh the list goes on.... SO what I was wondering, do you eat them anyway or do you go without? What are the alternatives?
I always check the ingredients list in every package and if they contain gelatine or animal fat I don't eat them.
Not all of them contain gelatin and the like. Breyers, for instance, is pretty strict about what goes in. Clover's right, check the ingredients.
yeah, there's a fair few icecreams and chips that don't contain dead animals. I just read the label and then go from there. I do miss some of the chips and stuff though - especially twisties. Damn you to hell, cheese powder!
Gelatine is in icecream... and some chips have animal fats in them... obviously chicken chips... bbq chips... and a few others that are less obvious.... crackers also do. Oh I had a drama at uni the other day I went to the cafe to get some lunch, they have pasta there. I asked, do any of these have meat in them... and they said "This one doesnt" so I took that one... back at my table, about to take a bite, I see bacon bits.... damn bitch cafe lady!
It isn't always that clear (at least in the UK). For a long time, one popular brand made cheese 'n' onion crisps (coz that's what we call 'em in the UK!) that weren't veggie, and yet their chicken and beef flavours both were. Go figure.
