I think a witch would be cooler, like on "The Covenant"

I've always wanted to be a vampire, too. And I have no problem with the killing people thing. I could just go around killing the bad people to ease my guilt. But my soul would be gone, so I don't think that I would have guilt.

i dont think youd have to kill people to live forever, not even suck blood.
sucking blood just gives a kind of adrenaline rush and heightened senses.

Why would you want to live forever? In so many ways life is too cruel for us to live forever. Our souls would die of insanity and unfeeling long before that could happen.

I think life is awesome and there is just too much to experience in one life time. I pity your lives, those of you that think forever is too long.

well that's a kind of harsh thing to say, you can't pity my life for not wanting to live forever... if you live forever, you know how many awful things you'd go through? the death of loved ones, the war, the hate. life is a natural process, i'd much rather experience that.

I find that the pain is far outweighed by the beauty. Yes you may lose loved ones, but you will also get a chance to know more people.

well, you could always choose to kill yourself once you get fed up with living.

but i am just so curious about what civilization holds 1000 years from now... think of the technology!

A vampire has a cursed existance. Don't forget that part.

Imagine being unable to change the shirt you have on for the rest of your life. No matter how smelly and dirty it becomes.

Death and reincarnation allows you to change clothes when they wear out.

Death does not change who or what you are. Only the human identity changes.

But you wouldn't wear out. You'd be forever young as a vampire, and if some stories are to be believed, incredibly attractive to the obvious sex.

The main downside to the vampire life would be living in darkness, since you could never go out into the sun. But by the same coin, you could just walk out into the sun if you got tired of living.

No offense, but you people watch to many movies and have no concept on the reality and actuality of real witches and vampires...
I suggest you do some research on them and learn the facts outside of the movie glamor.
But, if you were just discussing a movie like fantasy, then why not be both, a Vampyre Witch...

    Peace all

being a vampire sucks! (no pun intened.)
vampirism is one hell of a painful curse to live with! being a vampire means knowing nothing but hunger and, a large number of vampires prey on other life forms to full fill only their own needs. they are never able to see others as people too.
some vampires never prey on others. they live in a state of chronic hunger their whole lives, never ever hurting others. they realize they are wounded and, their vampirism is a manafestation of that wound.
the worst and most evil vampires are the ones that deny their woundedness. they are cruel, heartless and, souless monsters!
the ones who have accepted their woundness tend to become the most humaine people who ever lived.

this is the real vampires. they have nothing at all in common with the fantasy vampires that, everyone knows about from popular media.

i know all of this because, i am myself, a psychological vampire.
